I wasn’t sure about Lady Evangline when I first saw this book up for review. I thought her picture on the front cover looked a little spooky, but as I read more and more into the book, I understood why. Her father and his kingdom is important to her so as she strives to protect it’s people, she poses as several different people. I haven’t read very many Medieval stories, so this was slow for me at times in the beginning. As the story unfolds, I enjoy getting to know she and her father and their ways of life. There is a lot if action going on in this story, the emotions, the deceit, the many twists and turns, the parts that were heartbreaking, for me anyway, it all keeps you wanting to read to find out what was happening, and what would finally happen.

This is a new author for me, and I enjoyed her book very much. This is the first in her Secrets series, so we will be hearing more from her in the nesr future. If you are into good, clean fiction from the Medieval era, this one us a must for you. This one gets a solid 4 out of 5 stars from me.

They survived not only the medieval era, but many other difficult, even horrific times over the centuries before my birth. You and I are truly blessed by our ancestors’ perseverance.
