Cheryl WyattABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Not even Cheryl Wyatt’s closest friends would dream that this sweet, shy intercessor plots mayhem during announcements at church. She is a Registered Nurse turned stay-at-home-mom, wife and writer who loves Jesus with all of her heart.

Joyful chaos rules her home, and she delights in the stealth moments God gives her to write. She stays active in her church and in her laundry room. She is convinced that having been born on a Naval base on Valentines Day destined her to write Inspirational Military Romance.

Cheryl loves to laugh and to make others laugh, so she often plans comedic moments for her defenseless characters in spite of their grumbling. She says it’s payback for when they refuse to obey the plots she’s set out before them.

Prior to publication, six of Cheryl’s manuscripts placed in ten RWA Contests. Two of Cheryl’s stories also placed First in ACFW’s Noble Theme Contest 2005 (Contemporary Romance Category), as well as ACFW‘s Genesis Contest 2006 (Mystery/Suspense/Thriller Category).

She currently writes for Love Inspired. Her Wings of Refuge Series, about a team of USAF Pararescue Jumpers and the ladies who capture their hearts, can be purchased anywhere books are sold.

My Thoughts On This Book

Caleb Landis was a real romantic, that is when he is posing as the bandit. This is a really sweet, heartwarming story about nurse Kate Dalton and her mystery bandit. It was fun reading about the secret gifts and letters Kate was getting from her bandit, and the joy it brought to her life. Caleb didn’t want to commit to Kate because he was only home from military for a few months. So, the bandit was the best way for Caleb to do nice things for Kate.

Caleb and Kate knew each other because Caleb’s sister was Kate’s best friend, so they did see each other, and spent good bit of time with each other.  So they actually had an attraction for each other, Kate not knowing Caleb was the bandit. The story was humorous at times, because of Caleb living a split life. I really enjoyed this story, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes a really good, heartwarming romance. You will not be disappointed!

ABOUT THE BOOK

A Doctor’s Vow.

When he fled Eagle Point years ago, former air force trauma surgeon Mitch Wellington left only broken dreams behind. Now he’s back with a new dream—opening a trauma center in the rural area and saving lives. He hopes to hire the quick-thinking nurse who impressed him during an emergency. But Lauren Bates lost her faith and doesn’t believe she deserves to help anyone. Mitch knows firsthand what loss feels like. And it’ll take all his devotion to show Lauren that sometimes the best medicine is a combination of faith, community—and love.

My Thoughts on this book!

Wow I have a lot of thoughts, including the super nice handsome Doctor! But what I really like about Mitch is his sensitivity to his patients. The most touching part of the book is when Mitch leaned over and kissed the teen in a coma on the forehead. It brought tears to my eyes, just as it did Lauren. And I love, love Lem. He is the most precious grandfather, just like my own grandaddy and my dad as well. Brought back many memories of both, and I miss them so much.

This is a awesome summer read, the romance between Mitch and Lauren, or lack of it sometimes, will keep your nose in the book! Grandpa Lem was trying so very hard to spark interest between the two. He has two reasons for that, he wanted Lauren back in his life, and he wanted to make sure she was taken care of when he was gone. And what better man for her that the man that now calls Lem gramps, because Lem is like a grandad to Mitch and has been for a long time. Lem was alonely man, and Mitch made sure he was taken care of.

I highly recommend this book for your enjoyment. If you are a romance buff, you will love Doctor’s Devotion for sure. Cheryl Wyatt is a wonderful romance storyteller, and I will sure be looking for more of her books.
