Which wilderness is more treacherous–the one she must cross to find her home . . . or the one she must traverse to find love?

Just a few days after she gave birth alone in the northwoods, a recently widowed young Chippewa woman stumbled into a nearby lumber camp in search of refuge from the winter snows. Come summer, it is clear that Moon Song cannot stay among the rough-and-tumble world of white lumbermen, and so the camp owner sends Skypilot, his most trusted friend, to accompany her on the long and treacherous journey back to her people.

But when tragedy strikes off the shore of Lake Superior, Moon Song and Skypilot must depend on each other for survival. With every step they take into the forbidding woods, they are drawn closer together, until it seems the unanswerable questions must be asked. Can she leave her culture to enter his? Can he leave his world to enter hers? Or will they simply walk away from a love that seems too complicated to last?

Get swept into a wild realm where beauty masks danger and only the truly courageous survive in a story that will grip your heart and your imagination.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Wow, This is a wonderful book and an awesome romance. Moon Song may not have known much about life in the American world but she knew how to do whatever it takes to survive when it comes to her native Indian culture. And she proves just that when she, Skypilot and a women of society, Isabella are stranded after their ship sinks, and Isabella and Skypilot have to depend on Moon Song for their life, and she was amazing! But what about life for Moon Song and Skypilot? Can he actually learn to live with Moon Songs people and in her culture? Well, that’s why you need to read this awesome book. I love Under a Blackberry Moon and I think you will too!

Serena Miller is an awesome storyteller and I am really enjoying her books. She is on my very favorite author’s list and will stay there. I can’t wait to see what is next from this talented author! A Promise to Love Spotlight By Serena Miller

A Promise to Love……… By: Serena Miller

ABOUT THIS BOOK

Can a marriage of convenience ever become one of true love?

Ingrid Larsen arrives in Michigan in 1871 with little more than the clothes on her back and a determination to find her brother, who has disappeared into the dangerous lumber camps. Destitute and barely hanging on to hope, the young Swedish immigrant crosses paths with Joshua Hunter, a newly widowed farmer with eyes the color of the ocean she had crossed and five rambunctious children to raise on his own.

Marriage would solve both of their problems, and Ingrid finds herself proposing in broken English to a man she barely knows. Many difficulties lie ahead–but the hardest battle of all will be winning the heart of her new husband.

I love, love this sweet heartwarming historical romance. Ingrid Larsen is a real sweetheart, and I wanted to smack that mistress of hers for beating her with a whip. But Ingrid had enough backbone to walk out and leave, not knowing what would happen to her. On the other hand, Joshua Hunter just lost his wife, and is left with four girls and one infant son to take care of. Since his inlaws are blaming him for his wife’s death, the only thing that makes sense is to marry Ingrid to take care of his children. But taking care of his house and family is all that will ever be between them. And this is where the story gets interesting!

Serena Miller is a wonderful storyteller. I love the realistic and believable characters she created for A Promise to Love. They play the story out and make it seem so real that you feel a part of it. And the vivid detail of the historical events and setting takes you on a trip back in time that you will never forget. And to know that a lot of the events and settings in the story is taken from real life actions and places, for me it makes the story so much more special. Ms. Miller truly did her homework in researching the early 1800’s to tell her story, and you can feel the love and passion she has for this era and its people.

I highly recommend this book for anyone that likes Christian fiction, historical fiction and just a good clean read to enjoy. So pick up your copy today to read and enjoy.
