MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
I am so happy to review Traveling Tootsie by Karen and Kathy Honaker. This cute little story is about a little girl and boy wanting to go with their mommy or daddy when they travel. It was their favorite yellow teddy bear Tootsie that came up with the neat idea to stow Tootsie away for dad’s trip to Washington DC, and Katie and Steven could come along too. What do you think happened to these to kids and their Tootsie bear?
This was such a fun trip around Washington, DC with Toostie bear and Steven and Katie. They visited so many sites around the city, it was almost too much to take in, but they had so much fun and excitement. Every single page was just fantastic!
Chiara Civati does an amazing job with illustrating this beautiful book, inside and out. The colors are so beautiful that this book is sure to capture the attention of any child. Though I feel this book is for the younger elementary school Children’s age group, I can also see very young children loving to look at the pictures and telling their own story.
I’m giving Traveling Tootsie by Karen and Kathy Honaker Five Stars. I think this books needs to be in elementary schools and day care’s everywhere! Be sure to show this book to your child! I know they will love it.

Kathy and Karen grew up in the Chicago suburbs and moved to Virginia as teenagers. They enjoyed many family vacations, which began their love of travel. They both reside in Virginia with their families and continue to instill a love of travel with their own children. This is their first children’s book written together, about a favorite childhood memory that they always wanted to share with others to enjoy. They hope to inspire a sense of adventure in you!
