MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Adam Stone always stayed to himself most of the time because he just didn’t fit in with anyone after he got out of prison. But when chief police officer Lexie Graham shows up at his place several times because of vandalism several times, she could tell Adam really was a nice guy and could help one of the local guys involved in the vandalisms. But being around the chief might be more than he can handle.

This is the sweetest series, full of a wonderful close knit community of people who love and help each other. These characters have weaved their way into my heart as family, and I hope that we will hear from them again. And I love Charley, and his fish tacos make my mouth water! He is a person everyone wants to know, with his love of the Lord, and wise council to people God puts in his path. I appreciate how author Irene Hannon writes the love of God and the Christian life into the lives of her characters.

If you are looking for a wonderful, clean and entertaining read, this is an awesome book to read. And be sure to check out the first two books in this series!

Thin Ice

by Irene Hannon

If Ginny Reed is still alive–who is the woman buried in her grave?

After losing her parents and her sister, Christy Reed has been mired in grief. Now, life is finally starting to feel normal again–until an envelope addressed in her sister’s handwriting arrives in the mail. And the note inside claims she is still alive.

FBI Special Agent Lance McGregor, a former Delta Force operator, is assigned to reopen the case . . . but he’s coming up with more questions than answers. Is Christy a pawn in a twisted cat-and-mouse game–or the target of a sinister plot? As Lance digs deeper, one thing becomes clear: someone in the shadows has a deadly agenda.

Bestselling author and three-time RITA Award winner Irene Hannon pulls out all the stops in this high-stakes thriller that races to a bone-chilling finish.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

As with all of Irene Hannon’s books, Thin Ice has the nerve wracking villain that has a victim that has to fight tooth and nail for their life. Christy Reed’s life was shattered yet again when she rec’d a letter from her sister, or rather had her sisters handwriting. A sister that had disappeared years ago and was never found. With FBI Special Agent Lance McGregor assigned to reopen the case, will the two find what they need to find and free this sister that has been gone for so long?

Finding solid evidence is not easily done as Christy and McGregor starts searching the files for something that could have been missed. Then contacts from the villain spruced up the investigation, just in case he was telling the truth and Christy’s sister was still alive. Taking the two on a wild goose chase, the villain was sure to make a mistake and show himself. But would that time ever come? Reading this book, it seems like it would never end, because I wanted to find out who was behind all of this evil. But as the end came near, I wasn’t more pages to read! This is an awesome read from author Irene Hannon, and if you enjoy suspenseful stories, you will love this one.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

This is such a sweet and fun read. I fell in love with Michael and Tracy from the beginning. Even though neither of these young people were looking for romance, the attraction was difficult to ignore. The entire story was sweet and entertaining, the characters were realistic and loveable, and throughout the book I was cheering these two young people on, hoping they would finally act on their attraction. But did they? Read the book to find out. Wonderful read that I highly recommend to everyone!

Deceived

ABOUT THIS BOOK

A grieving mother. A mysterious child. And a dedicated PI who’s determined to solve the puzzle.

For three years, Kate Marshall has been mourning the loss of her husband and four-year-old son in a boating accident. But when she spots a familiar-looking child on a mall escalator, she’s convinced it’s her son. With police skeptical of her story, she turns to private investigator Connor Sullivan for help. As the former Secret Service agent digs into the case, the boating “accident” begins to look increasingly suspicious. But if Kate’s son is alive, someone is intent on keeping him hidden–and may go to lethal lengths to protect a sinister secret.
As Irene Hannon’s many fans have come to expect, Deceived is filled with complex characters, unexpected twists, and a riveting plotline that accelerates to an explosive finish.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

When Kate heard the blond headed boy at the mall say ‘poppysicle’ she called his name, Kevin. And Kevin looked straight at her, or was it Kevin? But Kevin had been killed three years earlier in a boating accident along with her husband. I felt so bad for Kate. She had finally gotten her life together again, and seeing this little boy who looked so much like her son brings it all back again. Since the local police didn’t find Kate’s story credible, she resorts to big time PI’s at Phoenix, Inc. And Conner Sullivan was the PI who takes her case. Tall, dark and movie star handsome, Conner Sullivan. And Conner actually listened to her, thinking it may be a possibility that this little boy at the mall could be Kate’s son Kevin. But it was a long shot. And as the investigation progresses, so does the attraction between Kate and Conner.

I think that’s enough to tell about this book. I love Irene Hannon, and this is one of her best. I highly recommend this to all of you who enjoy a good on suspense/thriller!

With her trademark compelling characters and heartwarming hope, award-winning author Irene Hannon pens an inspiring true-to-life tale of complex relationships, the search for forgiveness, and the life-changing process of finding love.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Irene Hannon knows how to write a book that captures your attention after the first word, and sticks with you well after you have finished the very last word. I love her romance suspense books, and it was interested to read a Irene Hannon romance without so much of the suspense. That Certain Summer certainly did not disappoint! The characters were very realistic and I could relate to them and their difficulties and struggles. Getting to know Karen and Val as they reunited themselves was a heartwarming experience, and I loved the romance the two found themselves involved in. The girls certainly didn’t know what was in for them when they spent this special summer together.

This is such a fun, heartwarming and interesting story to read during your summer vacation! You will enjoy this new book from one of my favorite authors, Irene Hannon. And don’t forget to look for more from Ms. Hannon in the near future!

About the Book

“Hannon’s intricately developed characters struggle with complex moral issues, bringing into question whether the ends ever do justify the means. An engaging, satisfying tale that will no doubt leave readers anxiously anticipating the next installment.”-Publishers Weekly

“Double-RITA winner Hannon begins a new romantic-suspense series, and this novel’s fast-paced plot and compelling characters (including a surprisingly complex villain) make it an excellent suggestion for inspirational-fiction fans as well as readers who enjoy Mary Higgins Clark’s subtly chilling brand of suspense.”–Booklist

A tenacious reporter. A skeptical PI. And a secret that will shatter lives.

Reporter Moira Harrison is lost. In the dark. In a thunderstorm. When a lone figure suddenly appears in the beam of her headlights, Moira slams on her brakes-but it’s too late. She feels the solid thump against the side of her car before crashing into a tree on the far side of the road.

A man opens her door, tells her he saw everything, and promises to call 911. Then the world fades to black. When she comes to, she is alone. No man. No 911. No injured person. But she can’t forget the look of terror she saw on that face in the instant before her headlights swung away. And she can’t get anyone to believe her story-except maybe a handsome ex–homicide detective turned private eye, who reluctantly agrees to take on the case.

As clues begin to surface, it becomes obvious that someone doesn’t want this mystery solved-and will stop at nothing to protect a shocking secret.

My THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Can you imagine seeing a horrified face in the road just before you hit the person, then after being out for a while, told that it was a deer you hit, and there is no trace of anything? That is what happened to Moira. But being the reporter she is, she pays too much attention to detail to let it go as what she is being told. Can she convince anyone she is correct in what she saw?

I love Irene Hannon’s books, and this one was just as good, if not better than the others I’ve read! Irene has a way of capturing your attention in the very beginning. That’s the way I was with Vanished! After that car accident, I couldn’t but the book down until I found out the answer. And there are so many twists and turns to finally get to the real answer your head will be spinning when you finished reading this book!

If you love a good suspenseful fast pace thriller, this book is a must for you! You will not be disappointed in Irene Hannon’s new thriller, “Vanished.” Run out and grab your copy today!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Kelly Warren knows for sure that her dad’s death was murder, but proving it might not be so easy. It was an attempt on Kelly’s own life that detective Cole Taylor starts to believe her suspicions are right. Prompting him to dig and search until he finds enough evidence to re-open the case. What will Cole find out? And can he keep is personal feeling for Kelly at bay enough to stay on the case until its over?

Any book by Irene Hannon is storytelling at it’s very best. She has a way of telling a story that will pull you in from the very first page and engulf you until you read the last word. Just as it was with me as I read “Lethal Legacy.” The characters are so well crafted and believable that it felt like reading a real-life story. Kelly was a quiet sweet Christian young lady who mostly stayed to herself. She had a close relationship with her dad and was determined to find his killer. And since the detective who had the case earlier was on vacation, who by the good-looking, hot, Cole Taylor was assigned to review the case for her. Cole was also a likeable person, and his close nit family really gave the book a more personal touch. A very touching story, one that will stay with readers for a long time after you finish reading.

If you are a suspense lover, then this book is a must, one you will not be disappointed in. And if you just like a good, clean, enjoyable read, then you will love this book too. And if you are like me and stay up until the wee hours of the morning finishing “Lethal Legacy,” believe me, every night sound you hear will scare the wits out of you! But that’s the fun of reading a suspense!

I highly recommend this book for your reading enjoyment. Grab a copy of this one, and the others in this series for a few great reads!
