I have love the small town of Willow Falls since reading the first book. Now this is book three in the series and this small town has been turned upside down because of a movie being made there. Will this movie being filmed in the small town change the town. And the hearts of its people?

Again author Pat Nichols does a fantastic job of capturing the feel and mood of this sweet small town of Willow Falls. I enjoyed meeting again with the characters that have gripped my heart from the beginning of this series. And I also enjoy meeting new people. The characters develop well as the story unfolds and the story line kept me reading to find out what was happening. Rachel or Emily had their work cut out for them as they worked endlessly to keep the peace between the people and the film makers! All in all this is a sweet heartwarming story that you will love. I would love to see more from Pat Nichols and this series in the near future. If you love small town romances, check this one out. This is a Five Stars from me all the way

ABOUT THE BOOK

The Trouble in Willow Falls by Pat NicholsTitle: The Trouble in Willow Falls

Series: Willow Falls #2

Author: Pat Nichols

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: November 8, 2019

After a scathing blogger review and a negative Atlanta television newscast tarnish Willow Falls’ reputation as a secluded North Georgia tourist destination, the town council votes to use the remainder of its annual budget to hire a PR firm to restore the town’s image. At a town-hall meeting, angry residents brainstorm ideas to boost Willow Falls’ appeal. When a second Atlanta television station announces plans to film a segment for its Around Georgia series, residents invest their time and limited resources to spruce up Main Street’s appearance. Willow Post editor Emily Hayes can’t help but shake her head at her town’s desperate efforts.

For months, Emily has submitted her novel to numerous publishers but received only rejections. When famous artist Naomi Jasper offers Emily much-needed cash to finish writing, then cast and direct a play about Willow Falls’ colorful history, Emily faces a difficult decision—postpone the rewrite of her novel or accept the project. After convincing her sister, Rachel Streetman, to partner with her, Emily puts her dreams on hold and agrees to take on the play. Failure to deliver is not an option.

All her life Rachel has dreamed of becoming a stage actress, so when she receives an invitation to audition for a respected Broadway director, Rachel abandons her sister and the Willow Falls play. But an incident with the director sends her reeling back into the arms of Charlie Bricker, her one true love. Out of options, Rachel reluctantly accepts her part in the town play with the slim hope that her performance might kick-start her career.

If anyone understands broken hearts, it’s Willow Inn’s beloved innkeeper, Sadie Liles. Sadie has learned to live with the fact that love is the last thing she’ll ever find. Then he walks through the front door.

As the town prepares for Redding Arms’ grand opening, five newcomers and one British tourist test the town’s quirky, lovable, argumentative residents’ souls. Digging deep to deal with the strife, bickering, and personal backstabbing will test Willow Falls in ways the small town never imagined. Could it be that the trouble in Willow Falls is the very thing that reminds its residents that honesty, love, and loyalty to one another is what binds them together?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

I’ve been watching for this second book since I read and reviewed book 1 in this series. I love the town of Willow Falls with its interesting mix of people who live there. Emily, Rachel, Charlie and Sadie are some of the main characters in this story, and each one brings a different flavor of personality to the town. I even enjoyed the bickering in the story, it makes it more realistic for me. The Trouble in Willow Falls is very well written, and with each vivid scene, it was enough to keep me reading.

If you enjoy small town, where every one knows everyone else’ business, you will love this one. The characters will pull you in from the beginning. And the story will give you lots of entertainment and enjoyment.  This is one I highly recommend. And don’t forget to check out book one in this series, The Secret of Willow Inn.

Welcome to the Blog Tour & Giveaway for The Secret of Willow Inn by Pat Nichols, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!

ABOUT THE BOOK

TheSecretofWillowInnCoverTitle: The Secret of Willow Inn
(Willow Falls #1)
Author:
Pat Nichols
Publisher:
Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas
Release Date:
January 10, 2019
Genre:
Inspirational Contemporary Fiction

Two women fighting for their dreams, one who’s long lost hers, are united by tragedy and a long-held secret.

Pregnant with her first child, Emily Hayes is eager to help her mother finish transforming an estate into the Willow Inn and write a novel about Willow Falls’ colorful history. A tragic event threatens her parents’ plans to refurbish an abandoned hotel and transform the obscure Georgia setting into a tourist destination.

Sadie Lyles left Willow Falls a murderer who’d killed the town hero. She returns as a despised felon and seeks solace in the town’s café. Emily struggles to unite the close-knit community and becomes Sadie’s biggest advocate. She strives to uncover the truth about the crime and save her town from dying.

To appease her father, Rachel, a VP in his Atlanta real-estate-development firm, relegates her acting dream to secret performances for imaginary audiences. After meeting charming, flirtatious Charlie Bricker, manager for Willow Falls’ future vineyard, she vows to break free from her father’s control.

The tragedy and Willow Inn’s secret past launch Emily and Rachel on a collision course with destiny and truth.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

This is a really good read. And a new author for me! Emily Hayes finally get the answers to her childhood prayers, though she is now an adult, and having a sister isn’t possible. But having twin girls is more than awesome because they will each have a sister from the beginning. While at the same time, Sadie Lyles lost her dreams 30 years ago when she was  jailed for killings her dad. But did she really kill him? Sadie seems to be holding on to a secret that she’s never going to tell. Then Emily is forced to deal with a tragedy she certainly doesn’t want to face, finish projects she doesn’t want to finish. But since she has no choice, she starts working with Sadie, which has the whole town talking. Can Sadie and Emily put their horrific situations to rest and build a life of trust and faith?

Rachel strives as VP of her father’s company just to please him. This job is sure not the job she has dreamed about since she was a child, but she can’t let her father down after all he has done for her. But when Rachel meets the manager of the soon to be Willow Falls Winery, Charlie Bricker, Rachel is more determined than ever to break away from her father and his real estate company.

Three ladies, their stories different, but woven together in this small town of Willow Falls. Will the secret surrounding the Willows Inn finally be discovered? Can this small town finally find healing after so many years?

Pat Nichols does a fantastic job of creating characters everyone is sure to fall in love with, a town that knows everyone’s business and has plenty of gossip to share, and a love for their community that will have you both laughing and crying. With the three different stories going in here about three different ladies, you may think it’s a bit confusing, but Ms. Nichols does a really good job of weaving it all together and writing a story that will warm your hearts. I love the small town setting, even though everyone knows your name and all about your life, Willow Falls is a neat little town, kind of like the one I grew up in. I highly recommend The Secret of Willow Inn, to anyone wanting a heartwarming story to read. You are sure to enjoy this one.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Pat Nichols is proving it’s never too late to follow your dreams.

During the spring, summer, and early autumn of her life this side of heaven, she and her high-school-sweetheart husband struggled and triumphed through life’s peaks and valleys. They raised two children, welcomed four grandchildren—one is with the angels—bought a Corvette, and ticked off every item on their travel bucket list. Now approaching her winter years, she ignores the minor aches that come with age and is grateful she can still paint her own toenails and dance with her hubby.

Following twenty-five years in six different management positions with an international beauty company, Pat launched career number two as a novelist and freelance editor. She chose women’s fiction to honor her daughter’s strength in the face of significant health issues and the loss of a child. Her corporate experience, working with hundreds of amazing women from all walks of life, inspires her to create stories about women who confront challenges in the pursuit of their dreams.

Although she writes five days a week, she and Tim—her best friend and number one fan—continue to celebrate their fifty-plus-year marriage. They lead a small group, volunteer for church guest services, participate in two social organizations, and spend time with family and friends. She thanks God for the blessings that brought her joy and the challenges that continue to strengthen her faith, skills, and resolve.

Pat was born in Illinois, grew up in Orlando, and has called Georgia home since the eighties. She lives in an Atlanta suburb, is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, Word Weavers, Christian Pen, and Gwinnett Church (a campus of Northpoint Ministries).
