MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE 

This isn’t a really cute little Bible for kids. It mad up if a number of Stories in the Bible that give children a good overview of what the Bible is about! And they didn’t leave out the Gospel story, the Death Burriel and Resurrection of our Savior! Yayaya!  So many Bible story books leave this story out. I guess because of them talking about Jesus’ death.

Another thing I like is the beautiful pictures throughout the tiny Bible! Pictures that any child will love looking at over and over, and they are also good questions starters. I love when kids start asking questions from the pictures they see. The cover is even more beautiful with the embossing, that gives the pictures dimension and makes the cover pop out at you!

If you find yourself in need of a Bible for your tiny one, this would be an awesome choice! I highly recommend this adorable Bible!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK 

First of all I love this book cover! It is what Dee me to this book! And I love Kelly Irvin’s books as well! And this was such a special read! Laura and Zechariah are both getting on in years, both feeling as though their work on this earth is finished, but God may have other plans! Laura’s helping in Zechariah’s granddaughter after having her Nablus results in the two elderly people getting together, and they realize they are needed.

This is a beautiful heartwarming story set in the beautiful Amish community in Jamesport, Missouri. Ms. Irvin does a fantastic job of creating characters that we will all love as they weave their way into our hearts throughout this story. They plot flows well, and kept my interest throughout the story. I like that Redemption, love, and faith were woven into the characters lives! This is a story you don’t wasn’t to miss, especially if you are an Amish fan!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE

Wow! What is there not to like about this amazing Bible! I love the cover. The vivid blue against the white snow and Polar Bears is just absolutely beautiful! And I love that ZonderKidz created this stunning Bible for kids, and this one had boy written all over it, inside and out! There are beautiful pictures throughout this Bible. I also love that this Bible answers questions kids may have such as How Do I Pray?, or Do I have to close my eyes?. And Can I ask God anything?, or Why did Jesus have to die? It also has sections throughout on Life in Bible times, People in Bible Time, Did you know, and Words to Treasure. And each picture and section is teaching our children and grandchildren about Jesus. And this is what life is all about.

I highly encourage each of you to check this Bible out. Read about it, look at all of the pictures and see if this is something you would love to give as a gift. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK 

I love The Lone Star Hero’s Series by Shelley Shepard Gray! I didn’t think she could get any better than writing her Amish books but I believe she did with this series!

Major Ethan Kelly had a difficult job in the war because his kind heart had trouble doing things he had to do for his men to survive. After returning from the war, he meets the one lady he still dreams about because he ordered his men to take what was left of her supplies to feed his men.

Captain Devin Monroe finalky meets the woman he has been waiting for but when he learns the sacrifices she made in order to survive during the war he is having a difficult time dealing with her past.

And then Ethan and Devin discover that their former colonel, Adam Bushnell is responsible for both of these ladies and devastating past.

Love Held Captive is a story full of tension and emotion, so much so that I couldn’t put the book down for long. The raw feelings of men and life after war, and women who were left behind to survive were so strong those feelings jumped from the pages as I read. And as much as these two men cared about the ladies God brought into their lives, they all had so much to deal with before a relationship could happen. And I certainly pray that there are no men like Adam Bushnell leading our men in the military, but with so many, we just never know. How one man could justify himself to do what he did. But again there are all kinds of people in the world. But in this book, Ms. Gray does an amazing job of throwing all of these situations out there throughout the book, some good, some so very tragic, and then weaving them all together and giving readers an amazing story of love and forgiveness, restoration and redemption, helping us realize just how God is with us, even in the times we think He’s no where to be found!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Having never read anything but the Bible we have today, broken down with the chapters and verses, this was an altogether different way of Bible read for me. The Bible here is broken down into four different books:

The Torah and Former Prophets (Genesis through Kings)
The Latter Prophets
The Writings
The New Testament
Chapter and verse numbers have been omitted and there are no footnotes, section headings or additional materials allowing you to read the Bible without stopping your flow of reading. The books have been placed in an order that the editors feel will help readers understand them better.

As I said, there is no numbered chapters or verses, and this Bible version isn’t broken down into different sections, so there is no headings. There’s nothing to stop you, like study tools and other verses about the certain topic. It’s like reading a novel, and I very much enjoyed reading what I have if it. I will read it straight through next year, just like it is written. It will be a fun, enjoyable and a very good learning experience.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Tenley and Birdie, two beautiful women, centuries apart, same Writing Desk, both authors dealing with writers block, and a story that will have you coming back for more from author Rachel Hauck. This is one of those WOW books, one you want to shout from the rooftops ‘This book is amazing,’ one you will read over and over again!

I was captured from the first page of The Writing Desk. I wanted to rush through the book, yet I kept going back and re-read a page or a chapter because I wanted to know every word of the book. The characters, I loved. I wasn’t sure about Tenley’s mom, but I grew to love her as I got to know her character. I love Tenley and Birdie, and though they made mistakes, their love of writing would shine through. And Jonas Sullivan is a dream come true. After meeting him, I forgot all about the what’s his name Tenley was supposedly engaged to. But then Tenley had to make the final decision on that.

If you love historical fiction, this is a must read for you. The historical scenes so vividly described by Ms. Hauck takes you back a century ago to the Guilded age. And my grandmother was born in 1903 so every time I saw that date I had fun imaging her in her infant years. There’s so much to say about this amazing read, but the rest is for you to know for yourself as you read The Writing Desk.

I give this book a high 5 STARS. I would definitely give it more if I could!!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK 

Wow where do I start. With this evening a Tamera Alexander story, I knew it would be awesome, but in blown away after just finishing the book. The first thing I’ll say is, oh, for the faith of Mr. White! That character has the faith that God wants all who know Him to have, a faith I long for. And Alexander, what an amazing woman she is, going from living a life if luxury, never wanting for anything, to a life of living among the freed slaves. Teaching them, from the youngest child to grandparents in the same starter class, Ms. Jamison never tired of pouring her life into these people. Slaves that were now freed and so ready and willing to learn.

And as for the dashing Mr. Sylas Rutledge, a man after every woman’s heart, what a character he ends up being. A character that never ceased to surprise me. And sorry, that’s all I will say, because any more will spoil it big time for you.

This is truly a book crammed full of history, with some of the historical events and scenes based on real events. The Jubilee Singers an actual group as was the Fisk University. A lot of valuable time spent in research from the author, Ms. Alexander. If you love historical fiction that is a good, clean, most enjoyable read, I highly recommend To Wager Her Heart for your next read. This book was given to me by the through TLC Blog Tour. Veronica’s heart was broken when Seth was killed in an accident, and surely she could never find love again. But when she finds out Jason withheld the truth from her, she just couldn’t find it in herself to forgive him.

This is another amazing read by one of my favorite authors! You just can’t help but fall in love with Veronica and Jason and their families. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE

I love this sweet Bible for young girls. The vivid colors are adorable and any young lady would want to carry this Bible around, as well as read it! MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Another murder in the Amish Artisan Village in Middlebury, Indiana, and the Poison Poet strikes again and again leaving pies with notes attached saying the pies are poisoned. And then the emails Amber is getting, that is clearly from the Poison Poet?  Ms. Chapman does it again with a murder, mystery/suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seats. And in an Amish community at that!

I felt so bad for Amber, the harassing emails were causing problems with her work and marriage, because the Poison Poet was determined that she wouldn’t tell anyone what was going on. But she had too many friends and family that loved her, and I was touched at the way the pulled together to help her. And another person that was helped was Preston. I really like Preston and the sweet relationship forming between Preston and Mocha, which you will need to read the book to find out about these two! And who in the world could have gunned Ryan Duvall down in broad daylight, just as he finished his race?
A lot of questions, and a lot going on in Murder Freshly Baked, and I just know you will enjoy it as much as I did!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE

This is a  really cute Bible for kids and teens both! The cover is a plush, pink and black leopard design with sparkles. And I know any young girl of any age would love to have one of these beautiful Bibles. The inside of the front and back covers are really pink! Some of the features is that it is the NIV, it has Jesus’s words in read letters, a table of weights and measures in the back. The Bible itself is smaller size that with fit young girls. Over all, this is just a sweet and beautiful Bible. And I would love for any young lady or girl I know to have a copy.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE

This is the most beautiful Bible inside and out! I love the color, the cover, the inside, and all of the study tools and study notes that are added for us ladies! Lysa TerKeurst has always been a favorite teacher of mine, well at least she has for a number of years. And having a Bible edited by her is an honor! This is just the Bible for busy women today! Ms. TerKeurst  and the women at Proverbs 31 Ministries have given us 366 daily devotions with Scripture verses that go along with the devotions. There is one for each day of the year, and I am glad they are not numbered because you can really start any you want and go straight through the book.

I highly recommend this really awesome Bible in its beautiful color. You will be blessed each day by the talented writings of these Godly ladies. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE

This is a really neat Bible! It has a daily Bible reading plan already mapped out for you. If you have been wanting to read through the Bible in a year, this would be an awesome way to do it. Each day it has verses/chapters already and each day’s reading includes a portion of Scripture from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and a Psalm or a Proverb. I like this because sometimes when we are reading parts of the Old Testament, we can loose sight of what we are reading, and with the Scriptures from the others parts of the Bible, this helps to stay focused on reading and what we are reading. This Pink Bible is especially for Women, and I enjoy having a pretty pink Bible to read and enjoy. Not that the color makes any difference, but its just nice. I encourage you to pick up a copy of this neat read-through-the-Bible to see what it is like for yourself!

The NIV First-Century Study Bible has a beautiful cover and is very attractive sitting on the shelves of stores everywhere! I thought this would be a really neat study Bible since it focuses exploring Scripture in its Jewish and early Christian context, but some of the notes, I’m just not sure about. There are a lot of interesting study tools in this Bible, the maps would be very helpful in studying the Early First-Centry, and I really enjoyed the pictures and drawings throughout. But I am just not sure this would be a Bible that I would use in my studies. But each person really needs to make the decision for themselves, so pick up a copy for yourself and see what you think!

 

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK!

I like the cover of this NIV Bible, but there are some notes that I don’t really feel they are accurate, or at least those involved in the note here doesn’t explain some of the Scripture very thorough. And apparently this is a newer NIV that the original NIV that came out years ago, and I am not sure I like this newer one. But I do like the pictures throughout the Bible and the nice maps are a good study aid. I say for each person who think this may be a Bible that you would like, to pick up a copy and see for yourself if this will work for you!

Zondervan is really coming out with a Bible for everything, so if you haven’t found the right one for you yet, hang on, it will be here soon! I say this because I have having a good time being able to review some of their selections, and I am loving it! This Bible, The NIV Pink Bible is for those who have suffered or may be suffering at this time with breast cancer. This one is special for me because I have two aunts who lost their lives to breast cancer, and my mom and sister had it as well, but their treatments took care of it. I really like this Bible for so many reasons, But I love that it has so many verses for comfort and hope. Yes, you can find these verses in any Bible, but in this one they are set apart so that they can easily be found. If breast cancer has affected you, or someone you love, this would be an awesome gift for them! I highly encourage you to pick up a copy and give it as a gift. You will surely be blessed and you bless someone else with God’s Word!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

If you are a gardener, You will enjoy this new Bible from Zondervan. It is designed to help you follow your Bible reading and do your gardening together. One thing I found interesting is that there are 260 daily readings and 52 weekly readings and the passages in the Bible and the devotions go along with gardening. There is a special section about The Garden of Eden, as well as sections on Jesus’ Last Supper teaching on the vine, and The Book or Revelations and the urban Gardens. This was interesting to me because I haven’t thought about Gardens in the Bible, and even though I’ve read these verses, I really didn’t apply them to gardens. And the 52 week topical index focuses on garden interest.

I highly recommend this Bible to those who enjoy gardening. The front cover is beautiful and you will enjoy the green color used as captions throughout this Bible.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE

When I first saw this Bible, I wasn’t sure if it was a good one or not, but the more I read through it, the more I like it. There are many study tools in this Bible that can be used to better you knowledge of the Bible. I want to list a few things that caught my eye when I opened this book. One is the unique introduction to each chapter, at the end of each chapter there is a real life, up to date in todays world story that can be applied to the Book of the Bible that you have read. The Five Alive reading plan is for 30 days. At first I wondered why a years reading plan wasn’t offered, but then I thought, a thirty day plan will be easier to stick too, and if those people who don’t read their Bibles can stay with the plan for 30 days, then they might try another 30 days. Of course I don’t really know if this is the reason for Five Alive and its meaning, but its my ideal anyway! The front of the Bible is a picture of a walk, giving a feeling of walking with Jesus through this Bible. I love the Apicture on the front, and the same picture is on the introduction page of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. And I like the notes throughout this Bible that seven ‘explore’ themes. There are so many more things I can say about this Bible that I like, but you get the picture from what I have said already.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE

I was so happy to see that Pastor Warren has helped in creating this special Study Bible that will help those who have been through his Celebrate Recover program, and also this will help people who are hurting and desperate, and think there is no way out of their horrible situation. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE

There are so many things I like about this Easy Read Bible, but the main one is that I can read it easier because of the larger font! Thus, the Easy Read Bible gets it name! And the duo-tone black makes it beautiful too! This is not a study Bible so it does not have all of the study materials added to it, and I think this makes it easier to read through the Bible, because it is easy to get off track of reading chasing the study questions and facts. The ribbon marker keeps your place, and the words of Jesus are in read, remind me just what Jesus said as I read. If you want to give this wonderful Bible as a gift, there is a presentation page, but for me, this one is mine, I’m keeping this one for myself! As you can tell I really like this Easy Read Bible, so I encourage you to check it out for yourself!
