MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK 

Micah has avoided home for so long because he doesn’t think his family wants him there, but the death of his neighbor brings him home again, despite what the family thinks. Surprisingly, his neighbor leaves Micah enough to fulfill his longtime dreams, but there’s a catch to it that Micah is not sure he can fulfill. Working with Paige on the goat farm isn’t something he really cares to do.

I have really enjoyed Lisa Jordan’s books in the past, and this one is another awesome read by Jordan. I love that her characters have that realistic feeling, seeming like part of our family. As the story unfolds, the other and the characters develop so well. I really like the prodigal son story that was Micha. He is definitely not the person who left so long ago after loosing his mother. But he needs to prove this to everyone in order to feel accepted. Paige has her shaded past as well. These two have their work cut out for them. And for me it was so much fun to follow Paige and Micah as their lives begin to change and their relationship developed. I love books that offer second chances and this one is an awesome read!! I’m giving His Road to Redemption by Lisa Jordan Five Stars.

I always enjoy a good hometown story and this is one of the best. And I love Kathleen Fuller books as well so I knew this one was going to be amazing, and it is. I enjoyed getting to know Riley and Hayden, as their lives kept merging together they wanted it to or not. Kathleen Fuller does a great job of creating her characters and making them feel like real people. As I continues reading the story, I kept feeling I was reading about friends and not characters in a book. Riley’s Mimi is probably my favorite character. I love her feisty attitude and the way she encouraged more of Reily and Hayden. And breaking her leg gives her more time and opportunity to get the two together. As the couple spend more time together their attraction for each other grows, but can they really be happy with their different lifestyles? Especially with Riley going back to the big city. I give this one Five Stars. And I forgot to mention the yarn shop. I love to crochet so I would love to go to this quaint little shop for a visit just to see what yarn she has. I strongly encourage you to pick up a copy of this book for yourself. You are sure to enjoy.

The setting is a small town Amish community in New York and at the particular time a storm has don’t major damage to the school house and needs fixing. Levi Byler just recently moves in the community and is the person most qualified for the job. But he makes sure he’s not a candidate for matchmaking before he takes on the job. But could Sadie really make promises?

One in a while I just love sitting down and reading a good calming Amish read. Even though they have their own issues, I still get that warm calm feeling reading Amish and this book was perfect for that read Levi has a hurtful past that’s the reason he doesn’t want to find love and Sadie has her own problems with her dad wanting her to marry an older Amish man she doesn’t want to marry. So we follow the journey of both these characters through many ups and downs and watching Levi handle raising the damaged school. I enjoyed this Amish read. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and watching their develop throughout the story. Ms. Lyons’ does a great job of research and writing this sweet story. And I can’t waiting for more books from this author in the future. If you love Amish books, I encourage you to check this one out as your next read. You will love it.

In A Wish for Home, Lauren returns to her Lancaster County Amish community for one reason. To give her parents a better life. She was still angry for the way the community treated her parents years ago. Hopefully she can be in and out with a fast transaction before she sees any of her old friends. But that wasn’t suppose to be. When her car breaks down, the worker in the garage was none other than the grown boy who use to bully her in school. But what choice did she have.
I thoroughly love this sweet story. I always love stories of second chances. And though this is pretty predictable,  it’s so much fun following the journey to the end. The characters were wonderfully created. And the story line had me not wanting to put the book down. It was a tad slow in the beginning but then it took of running.
If you love Amish stories I encourage you to check out this book.

I love this devotional, BEHOLD 40 Days of Seeing and Savoring God  by Sarah J Callen, though it is very different than the Devotions I have previously gone through. It is more like a devotional and Bible study mixed. I really like that it makes me dig deeper into the Word of God, reflecting more on each day’s scripture reading. For example in Numbers 6:24-26, I have heard this passage so many times during my life, but reading it, thinking about how the Lord blesses ME, and keeps ME; how He makes His face shine on Me, and is gracious to ME; and how He turns His face toward ME, and gives ME peace! And all I can say is Wow! I know many church services starts with this passage, but I need to wake up every morning with this wonderful promise from my God.

And this us just one day. There are 39 more days to reflect on scripture that will bring you closer to our Lord. Each day starts with a passage of Scripture. On the first page of each devotion, you write ‘What stands out to you in this passage, then there is plenty space to reflect on, Pause, Be, Enjoy, Wonder, and What is God saying to you. Making this and a much deeper devotional than any I’ve ever seen. The author does a really nice job of showing us, me mainly, how to stop and reflect on what we have read. And to help us grow in our walk with the Lord. I so much want to encourage you to check out this wonderful devotional. You will be glad you found a closer walk with our wonderful Lord. This one is a Five Stars all the way. Wish I could give it more

Have you ever felt frozen in time while everyone else seems to be moving ahead at Mach speed? Like you’re the only one who’s crashed on some turn in life while the rest of the crowd speeds through detours like future thought- leaders and experts? The feeling is mutual and, I think, universal. Using text messages to poll my friends, I asked if anyone else had experienced feeling stuck—like there was no way out of their current situation and it didn’t make one ounce of sense how their family/work/church happenings were unfolding. Turns out, everyone in my life feels stuck, at least in some form or fashion.

Singles, marrieds, mothers (both single and married), widows, divorcees, stay- at- home moms, gig- economy workers, corporate executives— all the women I asked, even the ones “running in their lane,” mentioned their struggles with decision fatigue, the feeling of being overwhelmed when barraged by constant decision making.

Every single person who confided in me asked, “Is there something wrong with me?”

This is where my tendency to challenge comes into play. I’ve got to push back on these assumptions. Being stuck is normal because you are not a robot. You are a human. Part of being human is living through unwanted and unexpected change, wading through confusion, and persevering through seasons you wish were much shorter. Although my group of friends expressed concern that their in- between places corresponded with their deficiencies— a lie I wholeheartedly rejected— another pattern emerged. The whole lot of us testified to supernatural experiences with God in the middle of testing times.

I have love the small town of Willow Falls since reading the first book. Now this is book three in the series and this small town has been turned upside down because of a movie being made there. Will this movie being filmed in the small town change the town. And the hearts of its people?

Again author Pat Nichols does a fantastic job of capturing the feel and mood of this sweet small town of Willow Falls. I enjoyed meeting again with the characters that have gripped my heart from the beginning of this series. And I also enjoy meeting new people. The characters develop well as the story unfolds and the story line kept me reading to find out what was happening. Rachel or Emily had their work cut out for them as they worked endlessly to keep the peace between the people and the film makers! All in all this is a sweet heartwarming story that you will love. I would love to see more from Pat Nichols and this series in the near future. If you love small town romances, check this one out. This is a Five Stars from me all the way

BOOKS IN THIS SERIES

This is the first book I have read by Janine Rosche, and this being book three in this series, I didn’t get to read the first two books. I found this ok for a stand alone, though it may have been a big more interesting reading them in order. Screenwriter Blue Walker is trying to regroup and start her life again after loosing her daughter in a tragic accident plus her husband ran off with another women, so life has been tough for her. Her childhood friend and firefighter Thomas Beck might just be the person who can help her.

This turns out to be a sweet romance, but it certainly didn’t come so easy. With both Thomas and Blue being so deeply flawed, they both needed much help. I really enjoyed this story. The characters and plot flows well, and I enjoyed watching the characters develop throughout the story. There were twists and turns that kept my attention as well.. The author does a very nice job of weaving everything together in the end to make an ending everyone would enjoy. I hope to read more from this author in the future.

Wow! Another amazing read from Janet W. Ferguson! Joy and Davis were married years ago, but the marriage ended years ago, starting with a Dear John letter, followed by an injury while he was overseas serving his county. Or so Davis thought. But he better make sure before he starts his new ministry. But things didn’t happen as Davis thought. And Davis’ world was completely turned upside down.

Janet W. Ferguson does an amazing job of creating amazing characters and bringing them to life throughout the pages of this book. We get to reconnect with some characters from previous books as well as meet new one in For the Love of Joy. I enjoyed following Joy and Davis grow as the story unfolds. And little Hankie was adorable. I love how the whole bunch fell in love with him, and especially Davis. Ferguson does a phenomenal job in dealing with the very difficult issues in this story. And I love and appreciate her weaving faith and the Christian life into her characters. This is truly a story of love, forgiveness, redemption and second chances. I can’t wait for the next book from Ms. Ferguson. This one us a 5 plus Stars!! Wish I could give it more. If you love a sweet contemporary read, this one is a great place to start.

Kyle Hunter does an amazing job of creating chapters and a plot that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I encourage you to check out A Promise in Provence by Kyle Hunter to find all of the answers that are not in my review. You will come to enjoy this book.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

This is my first book by author Winnie Griggs and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Greta and Noah’s story will sure stay with me for a good long while. Greta is part owner of a gift shop, but she also has a gift as a matchmaker. Noah is raising his children on his own, with help from family but now he needs to find someone to marry to be a mom to his two small children. Greta was happy to help find Noah a bride, since she has been doing so well at her matchmaking.

I love these characters, so well created by the author. Greta was a pretty good matcher but the problem this time was that the more she and Noah spent time together, the more they were attracted to each other. It was fun to watch the interactions between the two. And to watch Greta with Noah’s children. This is a really sweet Amish romance and on I highly recommend.

“At first, I thought it was a prank, but like you wrote in your article this morning, a

lot of that is happening and I wonder why.” Sally placed a hand on her hip as Stephanie

opened the folded paper.

“What do you make of the note?”

Sally shrugged. “Beats me. Says, ‘I.O.U. four reindeer’ so I’m waiting to either get

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

A Love Redeemed is a sweet story of second chances on love. After being fired from her job as a chef, because of something she didn’t do that is, she returns home until she can put her life back together. Tucker is struggling with being a single dad after loosing his wife several years before. So let’s compromise, you help me, I’ll help you, right? Not! Things can get complicated!

I loved this story from the beginning. The characters were quick to fall in love with. There are several things going on in this story and fully kept my attention. I really like Bella and Tucker but things seemed so complicated between them, when it shouldn’t have been. Tucker’s twins are adorable and kept me laughing throughout the story. The supporting characters were amazing. I felt I met a new family as friends. And yes being a love story the ending is pretty predictable, but the fun is writing everything leading up to the great ending. This is a very well written story and I hope there is more from Lisa Jordan and Bella and Tucker’s family!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK 

I love a Love Inspired Romance once in a while. They are short and sweet, and a really enjoyable read! So I was happy to be able to review Meghan Whistler’s debut novel, Falling for the Inn Keeper. Set in Cape Cod at the lovely and charming Cape Cod Inn, with uniquely flavored characters that adds some interesting twists to the story, I loved following Laura and Jonathan’s story, along with their supporting characters. Laura and Jonathan were about as different as anyone could be, Jonathan was in Cape Cod for business only. And Laura certainly didn’t have time for a guy in her life. But the attraction between them was hard not to see, and it was so much fun to read about.

Since this is a Romance, it’s pretty predictable what will happen, but it’s so much fun and enjoyment reading about what happens. One reviewer mentioned it’s like a Hallmark movie, and it is, you know who will fall in love, but you want to see how the characters get there. If you enjoy sweet Romance stories, I highly recommend Falling for the Inn Keeper! I just know you will enjoy it. And this is one of those books for the person who doesn’t have the time for a full novel!! Its a win win all the way!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK 

I have read many books by author Mindy Obenhaus and really enjoyed them so I was happy to be able to review A Father’s Promise. I enjoyed Laurel and Wes’s story very much. There was so much for each of them to deal with throughout the story. They both struggle dealing with trust issues. Each has a good support group. And I love Laurel’s extended family!

This story is set in a small town where everyone knows everyone else, and is very family oriented. Irma and Joyce are adorable, what I would give for neighbors like these two fun characters. And the rest, you just need to read this book for yourself. Even though this is a small book, it is packed full of intriguing story. As well as faith woven into the lives of the characters, love, redemption, forgiveness and grace. Now this makes for a very nice story!
