And as disaster strikes the town and threatens the welfare of its citizens, Margaret will be faced with the most important choice of her life.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Finding Love in Bridal Veil Oregon by Miralee Farrell is a really interesting book. I read this book way back when it first came out as Love Finds You in Bridal Veil Oregon, and loved it both times I read it. I also enjoyed the movie very much. The book and the movie are very different. The book is historical, in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s and the movie is contemporary romance. There are some thing that you can pick out in the movie relating to the book, but other than that I didn’t see a lot of resemblance. But the movie was very good and well worth your watching it.

I always would rather read a book thank watch a movie. Books have much more information. And I enjoyed Finding Love in Bridal Veil Oregon very much as well. The characters were well created and the story line flows well.

My heart went out to Margaret when her ex boyfriend shows up after leaving her and no word from him in four years. A lot of tension flying around and Margaret seems to be in the middle of it all. If you enjoy historical fiction you will love this one. And I encourage you to watch the movie as well.

A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

More from Miralee

I thought it might be fun and interesting for readers to learn how this journey toward having a book made into a movie came into being—as well as to see how much God had a hand in it all.

In the spring of 2015, I received a phone call from a Hollywood producer. Imagine my surprise when she asked if I’d be willing to write a book for them. They were no longer producing the Love Finds You books into movies and were working on a different project for UP TV, a possible three-movie series, and she hoped I might be able to work with them. Of the thirty-five or so titles she’d read of the line, Finding Love in Sundance, Wyoming, was her favorite (retitled and re-released as Outlaw Angel). However, most channels didn’t want historical or old west movies, so she shelved it for then.

I’d gotten my rights returned to all of my LFY books and had retitled them Finding Love in Last Chance, CaliforniaFinding Love in Tombstone, Arizona, and Finding Love in Bridal Veil, OregonFinding Love in Sundance, Wyoming, became Outlaw Angel, and all four are still in print.

Here’s the amazing part. I came very, very close to turning down that contract with Summerside for Sundance. They sold the line to Guideposts, and that company didn’t continue the line much longer. Understandably, sales waned on their final releases. For a long time, I wished I hadn’t taken the contract and instead held out for one with another company for a three-book series. However, had I done that, I doubt Runaway Romance or the sequel, Follow Your Heart would ever have been written. It was Sundance that grabbed Chevonne’s attention and caused her to contact me.

It took several tries of sending ideas to UPTV for various storylines before they approved Runaway Romance, then the serious work began. Writing fifteen-page summaries of the book/movie idea, reviewing the script after it was written, and writing the book.

Since then, I’ve gone on to have two more books-to-Hallmark movies, with another one in the works. My newest (and it’s tied to the book being featured in this tour) is Finding Love in Bridal Veil, Oregon, which was renamed Finding Love in Mountain View for the movie.  And is currently airing on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel. Again, Hallmark wasn’t interested in a historical, so the book was re-invented (with my help) as a contemporary romance. It’s been an exciting, amazing journey and I give God all the glory for bringing it to pass!

Name of book: Runaway Romance

Author: Miralee Ferrell

Genre: Contemporary romance with Amish thread

Release Date: October, 2017

When a reality TV star meets the reality of life, will it be her downfall or her salvation?

Ann Stanway had it all—a starring role in a reality show, an adoring boyfriend, and a sparkling future with limitless possibilities. Until the rules changed and the life she’d thought was real no longer existed. Leaving L.A. seems like her only option, and she lands in Kentucky at a quiet Amish inn—as far removed from her past as possible. Now she knows what was missing in her life–peace, true friendship and, dare she hope, a man who accepts her for who she is–or at least who he thinks she is.

Hunter Lewis is intrigued by the new woman staying at his friend’s Amish inn. Annie appears to be what she claims, but she’s secretive and won’t open up. He’s been burned by a woman before and can’t tolerate deception. But his interest in Annie is growing, and the attraction seems to be mutual—until something happens that makes Hunter question everything he’d thought was real. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Annie’s life was prefect, with her reality show and the perfect boyfriend. But then she finds out that life isn’t as perfect as it seems. She soon finds herself at an Amish inn, and then her life really did change.

It’s always fun to read about someone living life in the fast lane somehow ends up around Amish people. And this is what happened to Annie. The relationship she forms with the owner of the inn was sweet to watch develop. As well as meeting others around the Amish community. And of course there’s always Romance, which played a sweet part of the story. A story that is pretty predictable, but I like that sometimes, being able to know what’s coming. The thing is, wondering how the author will play it all out. And Ms. Ferrell does a very nice job of weaving it all together and creating a wonderful warm, and yes sweet story for all of us to enjoy! I encourage you to pick up a copy of Runaway Romance for a few hours of enjoyment!

A copy of Runaway Romance by Miralee Ferrell was provided by Celebration Lit Tours and the author for me to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions in this review are mine only.

About the Author

I love life, love my family, love writing Christian fiction–reading, riding my horse and puttering in my garden are all ways I relax. I often have my little 7 lb Chihuahua, Lacey, on my lap when I’m working–there’s nothing like a warm ball of love on your lap to act as a stress reliever!

First and foremost I’m a child of God and daughter of the King. I’ve been involved in women’s ministries for years, I’m married to a wonderful man, have two grown children, two cats, two dogs, 10 chickens and ride my son-in-law’s Arabian mare since my old mare passed in 2013. We live about 9 miles from the nearest town on 11 acres, in a peaceful setting surrounded by trees.

I started writing shortly after I turned 50, and discovered I loved it so much I don’t want to stop. I have 15 novels out & a five book set of horse novels for middle-grade girls. I write both women’s contemporary fiction, historical & contemporary romance, and horse/mystery novels for girls. One of my Western romances, Love Finds You in Sundance, WY, was awarded the Will Rogers Medallion for Western Fiction, three books have been optioned as movies, and several books have been on the ECPA best seller list. CFBA Presents…..Dreaming on Daisies by Miralee Ferrell

This week, the
Christian Fiction Blog Alliance
is introducing
Dreaming on Daisies
David C. Cook (October 1, 2014)
by
Miralee Ferrell

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Miralee and her husband, Allen, live on 11 acres in Washington State. She loves to minister to women (as a certified Lay Counselor with the AACC) or through her writing, riding her horse, working in her flower beds and playing with her dogs—her 7 lb, long-haired Chihuahua, Lacey, spends a lot of time on her lap while Miralee is writing. Miralee speak at various women’s functions and has taught at writers’ conferences. She’s been writing since 2005, and her first book released in 2007. Since then, she’s had 10 more books release, both in women’s contemporary fiction and historical romance, and she’s had the honor of being a best-selling and award-winning author.

ABOUT THE BOOK

When her father’s debts, brought on by heavy drinking, threaten Leah Carlson’s family ranch, she fights to save it. When handsome banker Steven Harding must decline her loan request, he determines to do what he can to help. Just as he arrives to serve as a much-needed ranch hand, Leah’s family secrets—and the pain of her past—come to a head. They could destroy everything she’s fought for. And they could keep her from ever opening her heart again.

This is western historical romance that offers hope and healing to the deepest wounds in a woman’s past.

If you’d like to read the first chapter of Dreaming on Daisies, go HERE.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Leah was awful young to be dealing with the heartaches and responsibility she was having to face. Her dad’s drinking problem had started when her mom passed away, and Leah was fighting to save the ranch they had lived on all of her life. I love this series, and it was so refreshing to hear from characters from the first two books of this series. Miralee Ferrell is such an awesome writer! I have grown to love her writing style, and her love for historical fiction. Though all of Ms. Ferrell’s books are awesome, I think Dreaming on Daisies is my favorite so far! I love the tension between Leah and Steven because of the attraction between them, and the secrets that were revealed surprising everyone!

I highly recommend Dreaming in Daisies, and the other books in this wonderful series. If you love historical fiction, this book is a must for you! You will not be disappointed! I received this book from CFBA to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

Can Love Survive When Secrets Collide?
She’d  kept her secrets safely hidden—those from her past, and those in the  present. Some things, Beth Roberts knows, a lady simply doesn’t share,  even in the 1880’s West. The townspeople would never understand. No one  ever has.
Jeffery Tucker, a handsome young  writer, has kept his own secrets. He doesn’t have a right to pry into  Beth’s affairs but finds himself strangely drawn to her and intrigued by  the whiff of mystery surrounding her.
Beth knows  that one day someone will unravel the threads of her past. And when two  men from her past arrive, the truth might just hurt . . . Beth’s future  and her heart.
As shadowy memories surface, Beth  sketches the scenes she sees and is shocked by what—and who—her  illustrations reveal. Dare she risk her heart again?
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
Beth Roberts has know idea who her mom and dad is, the aunt who raised her is not really her aunt, and she doesn’t even know what her real name is. Beth has a lot of secrets, and doesn’t intend for them to surface. Beth enjoys sketching and sells some of her sketches to a magazine, much to her aunt’s opposition., but Beth is determined to keep drawing.  Jeffrey Tucker loves being a writer, even though his parents pretty much writes him off because they expected Jeffrey to follow his dad and be an lawyer. But would the money be more important than doing what he really wants to do in life?
Miralee Ferrell is such an awesome storyteller. This story is heartwarming and beautiful inside and out! I love those how live in the boarding house, though they have their ups and downs, they are still a sweet bunch of people and they care for one another. Beth isn’t very stable and confident because of her past, but as she spends time with Jeffrey, she opens up a little. But then her past comes to play and uproars her life, causing a lot of tension.
I really enjoyed this wonderful story, and I especially enjoyed time with the interesting and wonderful characters we meet in Blowing on Dandelions. Ms. Ferrell weaves together a story that will warm your heart and stay with you for along time!
I received this book from the publisher David C. Cook  to read and review.  I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

My Review

Angel Ramirez was raised by her uncle in an outlaw band, and because of difficult circumstances she is on the run from one of the dangerous outlaws, so she has been dressing and working as a man on ranches for several years. Because of her outstanding job as a marksman and tracker, ranch owner Travis Morgan decides he needs her on his ranch and sends her word with an offer she couldn’t refuse. This time though, Angel decides she is tired of posing as a guy and will reveal herself as the woman she is to her new employer. Imagine the rage on the ranch when Travis and his ranch help finds out the new guy is a woman, and beautiful one at that. How will Travis feel about Angel working among the men ranchers? And can Angel prove she can handle the man’s job she was hired to do? And not to mention that the guys have their eye on Angel, including owner Travis. Will the ranch owner win Angels heart, or will one of his ranch hands beat him to the punch? Or maybe she’s not ready for love at all?  All this and much more is in this wonderful historical fiction by Miralee Ferrell.

When I read some author’s books, their writings just glue me to the page from the first to the last word, and for me, Miralee Ferrell is one of those author’s. A fairly new author for me, Miralee is fast becoming one of my favorites. You gotta love Angel’s character. She is so determined and independent, yet she is missing out on the fun of being a lady because of circumstances beyond her control. She has no idea of her real beauty, but the ranch hands as well as Travis had no problem recognizing it. The humor written into the story describing how those guys reacted to Angel was hilarious and adorable. I was so wishing to be inside this story to see the actions of these goofy guys!

Love Finds You in Sundance Wyoming, is a story so professionally woven together with a strong cast of characters that are loveable, genuine, realistic and so believable that you have the feeling of being right there in the story with them! The action and suspense going on captures your interest and keeps your turning those pages. The author does indeed give you the feeling of being there in the action. And what a pleasure it was getting to know the little town of Sundance, Wyoming in the fantastic way it was described by Miralee. A special place in history indeed! If you are looking for a wonderful historical, romantic read, I urge you to run and grab a copy of this book, sit down with a cup of coffee and just start reading. You will be pleased you did.  I read this book in a day. Just couldn’t put it down! It’s just that good.

Thanks to the author Miralee Ferrell for providing a copy of this book to read and review. I was not required or expected to write a positive review. The opinions in this review are mine only.

A  Bit About Miralee Ferrells Ministry

I believe the Lord is moving me in a new direction, and I want to be faithful to follow His leading. I’ve always believed I’m supposed to be speaking in some capacity, ministering to women, but haven’t known what direction that would take. Early in 2008 I was invited to speak to a women’s group. I shared my testimony as an author, and I hit on a few areas I felt the Lord wanted me to address.

Since then I’ve spoken at women’s luncheons, breakfasts, book clubs, library groups and a church librarian’s conference. I’m happy to share my testimony as an author as well as encouraging women to set goals and follow their dreams. I’ve also spoken on topics centering on prayer.

Book Blurb: Love and second chances aren’’t easy to come by in a town named Tombstone. When Christy Grey receives an urgent summons to Tombstone, Arizona, she reluctantly leaves her new life in California. The trip goes from bad to worse when four masked men hold up Christy’s stage. She finally arrives in
Tombstone to find her mother ill and her brother trapped in a life of gambling. Desperate for money to support her family, will Christy bow to pressure from the local saloon owners and return to the life she thought she’d given up for good?

Nevada King has problems of his own. He’’s been dodging bullets for years and wants nothing more than to settle down and get married. But he’’s on the run from outlaws bent on revenge, and the one woman who captures his interest recognizes him from the stagecoach holdup. Will Christy turn Nevada in to the authorities, or will the outlaws on his trail catch him first?

My Review

Christy Grey has started her life over fresh and new in California and she never wants to go back to her old life in a dance hall again. When her brother contacts her about their mother’s illness, her California life comes to an end and Christy heads to Arizona to take care of her sick mom. Because of a stagecoach robbery, Christy arrives in Tombstone injured and with no money. To make matters worse, she finds her brother in a gambling hall and is surprised with the horror of finding the home her mom and brother living in a shack that looks like it’s about to fall down. What on earth happened to land them living in a place like this?

Nevada King seems to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. He didn’t want to be involved in the stagecoach robbery, but was he going to be involved anyway? Or was he really in the right place at the right time because a pretty lady needed help after she was shot, and he was able to play doctor and fix her arm so she could continue traveling to Tombstone? One thing he did know, he was through living his former life. He was now ready to settle down and make something good of the life he had left.

Enjoy this wonderful western as you follow the sweet romance between Nevada and Christy, Joshua and Sara in the little town of Tombstone Arizona. Experience the magnificent view of Tombstone and experience their lifestyle, meet their people and feel the personality of their community as the author so brilliantly brings to life in this book.

This was not a book I rec’d free to read for a review. I purchased this book to read for myself, and posted the review on my own. The opinions in the review are mine only.
