Launch – Author Interview

What do you hope readers will take with them after they’ve read it?

First, I hope readers will find a sweet romance at the center of the story. I enjoy writing about two people who don’t want to fall in love but who fall in love anyway. Second and most important, I pray that readers will take one step closer to God because of something they find in How Sweet It Is.

All-of-kind Mom – Review

“Another story about some broken people finding their way.

A story about trusting, forgiveness, and love. . . . Robin Lee Hatcher writes sweet romances that show us God’s love. This book is an excellent [example] of this.”

Simply Susan – Review

“Robin Lee Hatcher’s books have always been an automatic read for me. Her Legacy of Faith series has certainly been very heartwarming and poignant, this book pouring many blessings into my heart. . . . So many precious nuggets were found in this book. Highly recommended.”

Red Headed Book Lady – Review

“When you pick up a Robin Lee Hatcher book you know it’s going to be good! . . . Hatcher has done a nice job in tying the past with the present together once again. . . . I highly recommend this book because you’ll not want to put it down until you finish. This book will leave you feeling full and satisfied after a good read. Kind of like a wonderful dessert.”

Hearts & Scribbles – Excerpt

“Thanks. You too. How are the wedding plans?”

“That’s why I’m here. Holly and I were going over wedding-cake ideas and looking at all the bride magazines I could find.”

Jed took a half step back. “Sounds like I’m intruding after all.”

“No, you’re not. We’re done. I was about to head home.” Trixie tipped her head slightly to one side.

Jed had the sudden feeling that he was being measured, studied, put under a microscope. Not a comfortable sensation.

Britt Reads Fiction – Review

“This novel was a nice way to round out the Legacy of Faith series. I believe that it can be read and understood without reading the first two books in the series. However, I feel that I had a greater appreciation for the historical portion of the novel because I have read the entire series.

I thought that Jed and Holly’s relationship growth throughout the story felt realistic.”

ReviewsByErin – Review

“There was a beautiful layer of faith presented, and hope for those facing family conflicts. I can imagine a lot of people will enjoy this as a light read. I would highly recommend reading the whole series to get the full impact of Andrew’s story.”

fierymermaidbooks – Review

“I loved this book! It made me want to bake a million things! . . . The family aspect was also super interesting! If you are looking for a great contemporary, then I suggest this one!”

Ponderings from the Inglenook – Review

“The story is one of healing and love and family and belonging. You go on the journey with Holly and Jed, two people who are dealing with their own set of struggles of trust, hurt and wanting something more. Along with their story, is the story of Jed’s grandfather, Andrew. Popping back and forth from present day to Grandpa Andrew’s day, the story of family and legacy is told. It was a heartwarming story that slowly took you from one place to the next with each chapter.”

Christy’s Cozy Corners – Review

How Sweet It Is is just as sweet as its title suggests! It’s a clean, inspirational romance that will challenge you to trust that God has your future in His hands. . . . The characters and the love that develops between them are very believable. But I think that the best part of the book is watching God’s plan unfold. . . . I have always loved Robin Lee Hatcher’s books, and How Sweet It Is is no exception.”

reviewingbooksplusmore – Review

How Sweet It Is was a book that had me hooked from the very first word. I love reading books that connect with two time periods.

I loved Andrew and Helen’s story that was set in 1969 to 1970. They had such a fantastic love story. . . . The characters were so real to me. I could visualize what they were doing.”

Daysong Reflections – Review

“As can be expected, How Sweet It Is uses Andrew’s bible to once again bring a family member back to their walk of faith. . . . It was encouraging to read about how seeming coincidences actually became evident as the obvious leading of the Lord.

A sweet romance, How Sweet It Is was easy to read and enjoyable. Although filled with scripture references, the faith element was not intrusive and did not detract from the story.”

Two Points of Interest – Spotlight

Pause for Tales – Review

“There was many beautiful lessons and truths in this story that pulled at my heartstrings. I enjoyed watching each of the people grow into better versions of themselves as they took away lessons from their ancestor Andrew Henning. This was a beautiful story of family and their legacy of faith and what that can mean for generations.”

Splashes of Joy – Review

“I have read many of Robin Lee Hatcher’s books and love them all, and was excited to read and review this one. There is so much in this story, twists and turns that surprise you, making it a wonderful and entertaining read. If you enjoy a good clean Christian fiction, you don’t want to miss How Sweet It Is. Because Jed and Holly’s story truly is a really sweet story.”

Rockin’ Book Reviews – Review

“This is a really nice love story, within a love story. . . . The characters were all portrayed well and very endearing. Although this [drama] was very predictable, it was very well written and inspiring.”

Read Review Rejoice – Excerpt

“Holly, you may be older than me, but you don’t know much about men. Have you noticed the way he looks at you?”

It frightened her, thinking Trixie might be right. It frightened her even more, thinking she wanted her sister to be right. “Don’t.”

“Don’t what?”

“Don’t read too much into it. I . . . I’m not ready.”

Adventurous Bookworm – Review

“I was elated when I found that I’d get to read the third book of this series. I had read book two at its release last year and was eagerly waiting to read this one. I am happy to say that it lived up to my expectations. . . . All in all, I enjoyed this last book and it was definitely the uplifting read that I had been craving.”

Locks, Hooks and Books – Review

“I loved this sweet and delightful read. I adored Jed and Holly. They had perfect chemistry, making the book fun and entertaining. There was a little twist and turn I did not expect which made the story quite unpredictable. . . . I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean and inspiring romance.”

Labor Not in Vain – Review

“I loved returning to the Hennings family as this book continues to follow Andrew and Helen decades previous, while also catching up with their descendants in the present. The dual timelines are well written and compliment each other well. I loved the themes of faith and commitment, as Jed takes time to consider things he hasn’t had time for the in the past. A heartwarming and enjoyable read about family, faith, new opportunities and lasting love.”

Loraine D Nunley, Author – Review

“This was a sweet romance. I liked the chemistry between Holly and Jed. . . . I would recommend this as a quick clean inspirational romance. This is the third book in the series. It reads well as a stand alone.”

Uplifting Reads – Excerpt

His smile made a shiver run down her spine. A pleasurable kind of shiver. One of anticipation. Something flickered in his eyes. Understanding, perhaps. With it, his smile faded. His eyes seemed to darken as he gazed intently into hers. His right hand rose to cup her cheek, the flat of his hand gentle against her skin. She couldn’t help but press into it. She was tempted to close her eyes, but she didn’t want to break the look passing between them. His face drew closer. Was this happening?

“Holly.” He whispered her name, as soft as a caress.

She feared her knees would buckle. Breathe, she reminded herself. Just breathe.

Hallie Reads – Review

How Sweet It Is is a sweet story from Robin Lee Hatcher indeed . . . As romance and understanding grow, the present timeline complements Andrew’s one in the past to deliver a valuable message about trusting God through the good and the bad. Readers who have enjoyed the Legacy of Faith thus far are sure to enjoy this book; it is a satisfying conclusion.”

Remembrancy – Review

How Sweet It Is has some light-hearted moments that made me smile and some tougher moments that had me reaching for the tissues. Throughout the book, the message of the power, importance, and comfort of spending time digging into God’s word and building a strong relationship with Him rings through. This is an excellent end to the series, and like the author, I am sad to say goodbye to Andrew and his descendants.”

Jorie Loves A Story – Review

“I love authors who can hook us into the emotional framework of a character immediately after we’ve started to read their story. With Hatcher, you don’t have to wait long, as even within the Prologue of How Sweet It Is – you are rooted into the emotional heartache and anguish of Jed. . . . What I enjoyed the most though – is seeing how two ordinary people who weren’t expecting anything extraordinary to happen to them suddenly find themselves in the middle of their own romance story! And that dear hearts, is why I kept turning the pages. . .”

Among the Reads – Review

“Lovers of more serious stories with the light of faith shining through will want to be sure to read How Sweet It Is. And while it easily stands alone, it builds on the events of the previous books of the Legacy of Faith series, so you’ll want to be sure to read them as well.”

Tell Tale Book Reviews – Review

“As with the previous books in the Legacy Of Faith series Robin Lee Hatcher presents a sweet romance combined with the reality of the messiness of family. . . . As much as I enjoyed the romance between Holly and Jed . . . it was still the sections with Andrew that I most looked forward to. Across three books he’s gone through tragedy and triumph from young manhood to retirement age. He has faced each struggle with love and a faith that is to be admired. . . . It was just as wonderful, and bittersweet, as its predecessors. It is very much a book that you shouldn’t miss.”

Beauty in the Binding – Excerpt

Inside, Pumpkin welcomed her home with a loud meow. After setting aside her purse, Holly picked up the cat and buried her face in the feline’s long hair.

“Sweetheart, what am I going to do?”

Pumpkin answered with a purr.

“You never lie to me, do you? You’re just who you say you are.”

She carried the cat with her into the living room, stopping long enough to turn on the lamp before settling onto the sofa.

“I’m at the end. I don’t know what to do. God, I need Your help. There’s no hope without You.”

Reading Excursions – Review

“This is the first book I’ve read by author Robin Lee Hatcher. And, it is a wonderful, sweet, darling, inspirational, and beautifully written story for the most part. The short chapters make it an extremely quick read. . .

The biggest message I loved from this book was in practicing grace when dealing with family and friends when it comes to conflicts and reconciliation.

Readers of the previous books in the series as well as fans of the author will more than likely enjoy this story.”

I’m Into Books – Spotlight

Peaceful Pastime – Review

How Sweet It Is the third book in the Legacy of Faith Series by Ms. Hatcher and I will say that it truly is a sweet, endearing novel. I absolutely adore a dual timeline and the author certainly had me engaged in the family saga from start to finish. . . . I thought this book was beautifully crafted with charming characters and one that will make you cry at times and one that will stay with you after you have finished reading it.”

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

How Sweet It Is is a very sweet story! I loved getting to know Holly and Jed and watching their characters develop as the plot progressed. Both characters had complicating issues in their life and we definitely not looking for a relationship. My heart went out to Jed as he tried contacting his brother, but the way Ms. Hatcher weaves their difficult lives into the story shows us a lot about ourselves and how issues like this can happen in families. It also shows Redemption through is only through our God, but again, the writing talents of Ms. Hatcher adds this in a subtle way that just fits so well with the story.

I have read many of Robin Lee Hatcher’s books and love them all, and was excited to read and review this one. There is so much in this story, twists and turns that surprise you, making it a wonderful and entertaining read. If you enjoy a good clean Christian fiction, you don’t want to miss How Sweet It Is. Because Jed and Holly’s story truly is a really sweet story.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

I’ve been watching a TV series that focuses on horse, and deals with rescue horses as well, so I was excited to read this book. Ashley has been doing the best she can rescuing as many horses she possibly can, so when Ben Henning shows up at her small farm she was excited to meet him and find out that he is starting an equine therapy barn on his great-great-grandfather’s farm, and needs her help. This would mean not only helping more horses, but involving special children on the area and helping them as well.

Though this is a beautiful story, it sure has its ups and downs, along with it’s own secrets that neither are wanting to share. Robin Lee Hatcher creates amazing characters to tell their story, and I fell in love with the two main characters, Ashley and Ben. The two were a perfect fit, but as the story unfolds, ugly secrets surface causing more stress than they imagined. And Ben’s mom and Ashley’s brother were two family members each didn’t want the other to meet. Causing problems for bother, especially Ben because his equine therapy barn could suffer.

But as author Robin Lee Hatcher so expertly does, she weaves all of the goods and the bads and creates a beautiful heartwarming story that will stay with readers long after we finish this book. The cover is beautiful, the writing is uniquely amazing, the plot flows smoothly and it has an ending that will warm you within. The battles of addiction was dealt with in such a way that those reading Cross My Heart will know there is power over addiction to anything in your life. And I appreciate that the Christian life shows in the lives of the characters, in a subtel way. If you haven’t read anything from Ms. Hatcher, this could be a great introduction to her books. Why not give it a try, and be gifted with several hours of enjoyment and entertainment.

Whenever You Come Around By Robin Lee Hatcher

Whenever You Come Around

By Robin Lee Hatcher

whenever you come around

Book Description

Just when Charity’s wild imagination failed her, a flesh-and-blood hero walked into her life.

Best-selling author Charity Anderson returns to her hometown of Kings Meadow to defeat a bad case of writer’s block. She imagines she’ll spend a lonely summer writing and then return to her home in Boise. She soon finds herself caring for Buck Malone, a wilderness guide-and the object of her unrequited teenage crush. But what else can she do? Her dog Cocoa caused the accident that left Buck with a broken ankle and wrist, taking him off the trail for weeks of prime tourist-season work.

Buck and Charity have gone different ways since high school, and at first it seems they have little in common. Buck loves the simple, low-key life he’s made for himself in the mountains of Idaho, and she’s a woman accustomed to the faster, bustling pace of the city. But spending so much time together has Buck hoping to change her mind about staying in the small town she thought she’d left behind for good.

It’s a summer for discovering that young love is a spark not soon extinguished.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

I have been waiting on book two of this series every since I read book one! So far, I am loving this series, A King’s Meadow Romance. When Charity Anderson comes home for the summer, she finally finds forgiveness for the past that sent her running from home. In doing so, Charity has to own up to her mistakes to her family and find forgiveness for herself. The road has not been easy, but can she finally find real love which she is home?

When an accident brings Charity and her heart throb high school crush,Buck Malone spending a lot of time together, they find out that the attraction they once had may not have ended completely all of those years ago. Robin Lee Hatcher again writes and heart throbbing romance, a nice, clean and fun to read romance, for her readers like me to enjoy! I loved Charity and Buck’s story and I am looking forward to the next book in this heartwarming series.

She and Tara come to King’s Meadow to try to piece their lives back together again. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Both Kimberly and Chet had a past that they wanted to forget. Maybe Chet training Kimberly’s daughter Tara with her horse is just the answer. Tara was a rebellious teen, and her horse is the only thing she was excited about, but Kimberly couldn’t afford to pay for training.  But when Chet decides to let Tara work off the training, things started to change in all of their lives, and for the better.

I always enjoy Robin Lee Hatcher’s books, and this one is awesome! The characters are so real and believable, you want to reach out to them yourself. Tara’s training, and the attraction between Chet and Kimberly keeps eager to read and see what will happen next. But then Kimberly has no interest in staying with her friend, she wants to move back to the city and make a life for her own. What will happen to the relationships forming between these three?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Four Weddings & A Kiss is four Novella’s written by four of my favorite authors, Mary Connealy, Margaret Brownley, Robin Lee Hatcher, and Debra Clopton has written four outstanding romances to make up this wonderful book. I love them all, they are all so wonderful I can’t pick one favorite. I n each story, the young lady seems to be thrown into a situation she doesn’t want to be in, making adding an intriguing twist to each couple’s tale. I laughed a while and sniffed a while as I read each story, a story of love, acceptance and forgiveness. Can you pick a favorite? Check out Four Weddings & a Kiss and see what you think!

Mary Connealy is the author ofSpitfire Sweetheart and boy is Maisy a spitfire! And a boyish one at that. But what happens when she cleans up and puts on a dress? Well find out about this little spitfire as she tries to take care of the stubborn rancher Rylan Carstens while he is bedridden after an accident.

A Love Letter to the Editor is written by author Robin Lee Hatcher    which features Molly Everton, who writes the most popular features of their small town newspaper.  But Molly is shocked to find out that she doesn’t get the job of editor, instead it goes to Jack. And Molly is definitely not happy about that! Imagine what will happen between Molly and Jack as he takes over his new job and Molly stays at her old one!

Cowboy stories are always fun and exciting and especially A Cowboy for Katie by Debra Clopton   and this is Katie and Treb’s interesting story are Treb helps Katie after a tornado almost ruins her ranch.

And last but not least is Courting Trouble by Margaret BrownleyI have grown to love Margaret Brownley’s books the last few years that I have been reading them. I love their fun and humorous nature. And Ms. Brownley didn’t disappoint here. You are sure to laugh and enjoy Grace and Brock as he tries to free Grace from her troubles.

By Robin Lee Hatcher

The-Hearts-Pursuit

The Heart’s Pursuit

A jilted bride desperate to save her family from ruin.
A bounty hunter seeking vengeance for a ravaged past.
An arduous trek toward justice–or redemption.

Silver Matlock and Jared Newman know traveling together is a bad idea. Bad for Silver’s already tarnished reputation in her small Colorado town. Bad for bounty hunter Jared’s secret, single-minded mission for revenge. But Silver is determined to track down the rogue who left her at the altar and stole the last remnant of her father’s fortune. And Jared’s in a hurry to hunt down the murderer who destroyed his family–even if Silver is too distractingly beautiful for comfort.

The pair takes off over mountain and desert, past bleak homesteads and raw mining towns, hot on the trail of the two villains who took what wasn’t theirs to take. Soon supplies dwindle, secrets emerge, and suspicion leave Silver and Jared at odds when they need each other most. To confront an enemy deadlier than desert rattlesnakes and rocky cliffs, Silver and Jared must learn to forgive and trust and face the question they haven’t dared voice: What happens next?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Silver Matlock is one feisty young lady!  When her low life husband to be left her standing at the alter, taking her father’s fortune with him, Silver had one thing on her mind, and that was to track him down. But was Jarad Newman the person she needed to help her do the job? Looking for revenge himself, Jarad and Silver take off on a journey to find their prey!

The Heart’s Pursuit is a fun and enjoyable read! I really liked Silver’s spunky and determined attitude and the way she wasn’t going to let anyone stand in her way. Robin Lee Hatcher does a fantastic job of so vividly describing the desert as well as the mountains and rocky cliffs along the way. I always enjoy set in the Colorado mountains, and the scenes in this book gave me the feeling of being there with the characters. There are a lot of twists and turns here, some intense emotions, but Sliver and Jarad are determined to stay focused on what their mail goal is, and nothing would stop them! And in the end, what will become of these two? Ms. Hatcher weaves these situations together to give readers an ending that will warm your heart!

A Promise Kept

by Robin Lee Hatcher

 A-Promise-Kept-e1387321767493

God was going to save her marriage, Allison was sure of it. But neither her husband nor her marriage had been saved.

What had become of His promise?

Tony Kavanagh had been Allison’s dream-come-true. They were in love within days, engaged within weeks, married and pregnant within a year. Her cup bubbled over with joy . . . but years later, that joy had been extinguished by unexpected trials.

The day Allison issued her husband an ultimatum, she thought it might save him. She never expected he would actually leave. She was certain God had promised to heal; it was clear that she’d misunderstood.

Now, living in the quiet mountain cabin she inherited from her single, self-reliant Great Aunt Emma, Allison must come to terms with her grief and figure out how to adapt to small town life. But when she finds a wedding dress and a collection of journals in Emma’s attic, a portrait of her aunt emerges that takes Allison completely by surprise: a portrait of a heartbroken woman surprisingly like herself.

As Allison reads the incredible story of Emma’s life in the 1920s and 1930s, she is forced to ask a difficult question: Does she really surrender every piece of her life to the Lord?

Drawing from her own heart-wrenching story of redemption, A Promise Kept is Robin Lee Hatcher’s emotionally charged thanksgiving to a God who answers prayers—in His own time and His own ways.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

At first, I wasn’t sure I would like A Promise Kept, but the more I read, the more I loved this story. Allison’s dreams were shattered when her husband Tony his drinking addition over her, ending in a divorce. Allison moved into a mountain home she inherited from a great aunt. A lot of things happened in this story. Allison started reading her Great Aunt Emma’s journals, and other circumstances happened that drew Allison closer to her aunt, and closer to God.

Robin Lee Hatcher does an excellent job of switching this story back and forth between Aunt Emma’s life decades ago and current event happening now. It was very easy for me to keep up with both stories and I really enjoyed them both. But I think Aunt Emma’s story is the one that gripped my heart the most. As the secrets were being unveiled, the more my heart went out to this special lady. And I don’t want to tell anything because it will give it away for you!

I highly recommend A Promise Kept by Robin Lee Hatcher. It is a nice, clean enjoyable read, and its just plain good for the soul to read a heartwarming story like this. I love it all, the cover, the story and the ending.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Beloved is such a sweet romantic and heartwarming story. It is exciting when Tyson Applegate shoes up at his wife’s engagement party, the first time she’s seen him for years. She actually thought he was dead, since she hadn’t heard from him. But Tyson is very alive and well, and wants another chance with his wife Diana. But can Tyson earn the trust of his wife again?

Robin Lee Hatcher makes all of her books fun to read. And I thoroughly enjoyed reading Beloved. I really loved the main characters Tyson and Diana, and the tension between the two of them is what kept me interested in the story. Life wasn’t always a bed of roses for these two, but it was fun following their journey while Tyson strove to win Diana back into his life and trust. Robin Lee Hatcher is a masterful storyteller and I love how she made the lives of Tyson and Diana come alive before our eyes on the pages of this book. If you enjoy Christian fiction, this is an awesome read that you need to grab! You will  be in for hours of entertainment!
