MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

New Jersey’s majestically wooded Schooley’s Mountain has been a retreat for generations. But will Christmas be a season of miracles in the lives of those who transform a house into a home?

1820…`TIS THE SEASON by Carla Olson Gade is the story of Annaliese and Stephan and a romance that started with a surprise kiss under mistletoe.

1868….MERCY MILD by Gina Welborn In Choosing homes for six kids, Deputy Zeke decides to place Polly with widow Mariane. Mariane had some difficult feelings about keeping Molly, even though she really enjoyed kids.

1910…..MIDNIGHT CLEAR by Lisa Karon Richardson This is Olympia and Teddy’s story. They each took different turns in life after leaving the orphanage they lived in. One stay on at the orphanage and had money to get by, and the other struck out to make money, and succeeded. Now the orphanage is having financial problems. What will happen to Olympia and the orphans living there?

and Present time…..COMFORT AND JOY by Jennifer AlLee Tension ran tight when Evan brings an eviction notice for the Comfort house to Joy, a rude goodby to Joy and to the orphans that still lived in the house. It would be a miracle indeed if this situation could be fixed. But then Evan really didn’t want to be on the wrong side of Joy. Could they put their differences behind them. And what about the title of the book, Mistletoe Memories?

Each of these four stories connect, but there are many years between each story. But they all have several things in common, especially in the romance department. Each author, Jennifer AlLee, Carla Olson Gade, Lisa Karon Richardson, and Gina Welborn gives their readers four wonderful, heartwarming Christmas stories that will stir your hearts and leave you with a warm feeling. I love each of these stories, I really can’t pick a favorite because they all support each other. These are four fantastic writers and you will thoroughly enjoy this romance from them. And the title Mistletoe Memories is the title for a reason, and you will be pleasantly pleased with the outcome of these stories.

My Thoughts on this Book

This is a very heartwarming and touching book to read, and especially if you read it during the Christmas Holidays. Dan was trying to keep the second hand store opened after his wife passed away, and was willing to hire Bev Winters since she needed a job. Bev had lost her husband, and now she had no job, trying to raise her daughter, and this was perfect for her. She even found a place to live so she could walk to work so save money. As they spent more time together, Dan started getting attached to Bev’s daughter and an attraction to Bev was there as well.

In this sweet and touching story, two lonely people finds someone to spend time with. And more importantly, they were able to spend their Christmas together. I loved Twice Loved and I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting a good Christmas read! Wanda Brunstetter again gives readers a wonderful heartwarming story to read.
