Lake-Season-672x1024A lost letter, a new love, and old secrets beckon this summer at the Bluebell Inn.

When their parents die in a tragic accident, Molly Bennett and her siblings pull together to fulfill their parents’ dream: turning their historic Bluebell, North Carolina home back into an inn. The situation would just be temporary—three years at the most—then they would sell the inn and Molly could get back to chasing her own dreams.

Adam Bradford (aka bestselling author Nathanial Grey) is a reclusive novelist with a bad case of writer’s block. Desperate for inspiration as his deadline approaches, he travels to the setting of his next book, a North Carolina lake town. There he immediately meets his muse, a young innkeeper who fancies herself in love with his alter ego.

Molly and Adam strike up an instant friendship. When Molly finds a long-lost letter in the walls of her inn she embarks on a mission with Adam to find the star-crossed lovers and bring them the closure they deserve. But Adam has secrets of his own. Past and present collide as truths are revealed, and Molly and Adam will have to decide if love is worth trusting.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Being alone, after the deaths of both parents, Molly Bennett, her brother and sister decided to fulfill their parents dreams opening a bed and breakfast. When Adam Bradford drops in unexpected and desperate for a place to stay, Molly agrees to let him stay in one of their finished rooms. But she never expected what would happen.

This is such a wonderful read! Life was not easy for the three siblings, but their determination paid off. Author Dennis Hunter does a wonderful job creating her characters for this book, and they develop so well as the plot moves forward. Reading the story was such a smooth and calming feeling. Even though there are several twists that have readers wanting to know what happens, this story has a wonderful ending. I’m trying to write this review and not give away anything to ruin it for you. You need to read the story for yourself. This is just a wonderful story that deals with issues that have happened to people in real life. And I like the way Ms. Hunter deals with the issues. And to use Scripture throughout the book is an added blessing. Lake Season is an awesome book that can be read anytime! I sure hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Denise Hunter’s “On Magnolia Lane”

89169141-1527-4442-8d71-2265124027ff

SYNOPSIS:

From the bestselling author of The Convenient Groom (now a beloved Hallmark Original movie) comes the final book in Hunter’s Blue Ridge Romance series.

Pastor Jack McReady has secretly carried a torch for Daisy for two long years. She’s a member of his congregation, after all, and she’ll never see him as more than a trusted counselor. Jack’s best friend Noah has taken every opportunity to encourage his lovesick friend, but when Noah catches wind that Daisy has joined an online dating site, he takes matters into his own hands and orchestrates a meet-cute of the most unconventional kind.

Owner of the local flower shop, Daisy Pendleton is content with her small-town life, but she’d sure like someone to share it with. After several disastrous first dates, she’s about to give up—and then she finds a seemingly wonderful man online. Daisy gets to know TJ through a series of messages but finds herself spending more time with Pastor Jack outside of the church at the same time. What she doesn’t know is that her online prospect and Jack are one and the same.

Just as Daisy’s love life starts to look promising, a mysterious woman appears in town. Daisy is faced with a revelation about her family that turns her world upside down, and she looks to both TJ and Jack for help.

Jack must find a way to reveal himself as her online suitor without breaking her heart and losing her trust. As Daisy faces Jack’s betrayal, she’ll have to learn to extend grace to herself, her family, and the man she’s grown to love.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

On Magnola Lane is the third and last book in The  Blue Ridge Sunrise series and I am sorry this series is coming to an end. I have enjoyed getting the know the characters of Copper Creek, Georgia and will miss them! I am glad that Pastor Jack and Daisy have their own story. But trying to court Daisy was not an easy task, since she looks at Jack as her pastor and councilor. Why he can’t even get her to drop the ‘Pastor’ in his name. He wants to be just plain Jack!

I really enjoyed the characters of Daisy and Pastor Jack. Daisy was a fun person to be around, and I love the fun scenes talking about her unique flower shop. And Jack was a special kind of guy that was always there for everyone. When Noah signed Jack up on the dating app Daisy was using the fun really begin. It was an interesting journey as “TJ” aka Jack and Daisy started talking. And wouldn’t you know they hit it off in no time. The journey  continues, the chats were more frequent and more informative as well as rather interesting, since everyone else knew who TJ was. Everyone but Daisy. But what will happen when they finally meet? How will Daisy really feel?

You can read the book and find these answers and a lot more entertainment when you read Denise Hunter’s “On Magnolia Lane!”

I received this book from TLC Tours to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

Honeysuckle Dreams by Denise Hunter

F1FEBE88-037F-483A-B814-CC27AD4DD14D

About Honeysuckle Dreams (A Blue Ridge Romance)

  • Paperback: 320 pages
  • Publisher: Thomas Nelson (May 1, 2018)

After Brady Collins’ ex-wife dies, he receives devastating news—his nine-month-old son Sam isn’t his son at all. And Sam’s wealthy maternal grandparents want custody of the child. Brady knows he’s in for the fight of his life. But regardless of what any blood test says, Sam is his son, and Brady will go to any lengths to keep him.

Brady’s attorney tips him off that one major life change would virtually assure him of winning guardianship of baby Sam at the final hearing: an impending marriage. And his friend Hope is willing to step in as the loving and devoted fiance.

Local radio celebrity Hope Daniels has been driven by a solitary goal her entire life, and after a happy accident she’s finally offered her dream job. But if the truth comes out about her arrangement with Brady, she may miss the chance of a lifetime and stand in the way of a dear friend’s dreams.

As Brady and Hope make sacrifices to help each other in their times of need, they risk uncovering a truth neither of them expects to find.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Brady Collins finds himself a single dad after his ex-wife was killed. Not having regular childcare for baby Sam, Brady’s long time friend Hope Daniels babysits Sam much of the time while Brady works in his garage. Brady has a visitor one night that tips him off that his ex-in law’s are taking Brady to court for custody of Sam. Then he finds out his ex had been lying to him about Sam and his lawyer suggests that if he was married, he would have a much better chance. But the only woman in his life was his longtime best friend, Hope. What’s a man to do, being in such a fix as this?

Honeysuckle Dreams is another awesome read from author Denise Hunter. This is one of those books that has you hooked from the first page. The characters are just so realistic, I feel like I have new friends in Hope and Brady and the rest of the gang. I love the way each scene was so detailed, I found myself laughing and crying with Hope and Brady over the situation with Sam. And then when things were looking so grim for this sweet couple my heart was breaking as much as the two of theirs were. I just wanted to shake them both and say talk to each other, will you!

I don’t want to say more, it’s so much to say, so many details, but you need to read the book to find out! I highly recommend this one! I received this book from TLC Tours to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

Blue Ridge Sunrise by Denise Hunter

Book Description

Former free spirit Zoe Collins swore she’d never again set foot in Copper Creek or speak to the man who broke her heart. But return she must when her beloved Granny dies, leaving the family legacy to Zoe—a peach orchard nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

When Zoe returns home with her daughter and boyfriend Kyle, she finds that she’s the only person in town who doesn’t expect her to give up the life she’s established far away from Copper Creek. Everyone believes she was born to run the orchard, but how can she make it her home after so many years?

Cruz Huntley never quite got over his first love, Zoe Collins, the little sister of his best friend Brady. Not when she cheated on him during their “break,” not when she took off to parts unknown with good-for-nothing Kyle Jenkins, and not even now—five years later.

As life-changing decisions and a history with Cruz hang over Zoe’s head, tensions rise between her and Kyle. Even as she comes to terms with the shifting relationships in her life, Zoe still isn’t sure if she can remain in Copper Creek with her new responsibilities . . . and her first love.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

“Blue Ridge Sunrise” was a fun and easy quick read. The usually Denise Hunter romance was just as her other books, which anyone who loves romance will love! The characters are well developed thoughout the story, though I really stayed annoyed with Zoe! She was needed to make the story interesting, though it seems. And I love the Montana Blue Ridge Mountain setting.

You will love this one if you are a romance fan! I received this book from Booklook Bloggers to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

Married ’til Monday By Denise Hunter

Married ’til Monday

By Denise Hunter

married til monday

Book Description

With a big anniversary party in the works for her parents, Ryan will pretend to be Abby’s husband for just one last weekend.

Ryan McKinley has tried to move on from his ex-wife, Abby. He’s sulked, he’s gotten angry, and ultimately he bought her dream house. Big mistake. Living alone in the massive 2-story has only made him miss her more. When her parents call him out of the blue about their anniversary party in Summer Harbor, Maine, Ryan believes God has dropped a golden opportunity straight in his lap.

Abby McKinley never exactly told her parents about the divorce. A strained relationship with her dad has culminated in a distant relationship with her parents, but she’s finally succumbed to her mom’s pressure to make the drive for their 35th-anniversary party.

Then Ryan shows up on her doorstep, looking as devastatingly handsome as ever. When he insists he’s going to Seabrook, with or without her, Abby knows she can’t say no. Her parents still think they’re married and now Ryan knows it too. Besides, he only wants to check in with his best friend from college-her cousin Beau, who just lost his dad. It’s just a one-week road-trip with the man who broke her heart. What could possibly go wrong?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

This is really a sweet and special story from author Denise Hunter! Ryan has made no secret in the prior books in this series of his love for Abbi. And the one thing he wants is to win her back, but Abbi definitely doesn’t want anything to do with this guy who broke her heart. So when she agreed to go to her family for a week with Ryan, she knew nothing could happen. Even though her parents thought they were married, and they were going to act like a married couple for the sake of her parents.

I don’t cry a lot when I read books, but with this one, I just couldn’t help it. The tensions, the attraction, the romance, and the tenderness and forgiveness. It all pulls you into the story at the very beginning, and it doesn’t let go until way long after you finish the book. I hated for Married ’til Monday to end and I will be keeping this entire series by Ms. Hunter to read in the future!

The Wishing Season By Denise Hunter, Published by Thomas Nelson

The Wishing Season

By Denise Hunter

the wishing season

Book Description

She daydreams of whipping up sauces and soufflés in her own restaurant. His heart is set on helping foster children. Both dreams are at stake. So are their hearts.

With grand plans to open her own bed & breakfast in Chapel Springs, PJ McKinley can’t afford the most crucial part: the brick and mortar. But when the owner of a local historic home announces a contest and promises her property to the worthiest candidate, PJ makes a fervent wish and tosses her name into the hat.

Cole Evans is cool, confident, and successful, but he’ll never forget his roots. He’s thankful for how far he’s come and knows his life could have turned out drastically different. If he can win the stately old mansion, he’ll turn it into a home for children aging out of the foster system.

When the eccentric house owner narrows the entries down to only two applicants, she extends the contest, giving PJ and Cole one year to prove which one of them can make the best use of her beloved home. As the pair competes in close proximity, something deeper than rivalry sparks between PJ and Cole. And in this battle, they’re likely to lose their hearts.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Who will win The Wishing Mansion contest, the confident and successful Cole, who will never forget his roots and wants to give former foster care kids 18 and over a home, or the restaurant hopeful PJ, who has dreamed of opening up and owning a Bed and Breakfast for years? Denise Hunter will keep you reading in this third book in The Chapel Hill series.

This has been such a good and heartwarming series, and I love this third addition to the series! The contest is an amazing event happening, and both PJ and Cole have their heart set on winning. As the battle starts, PJ on the bottom floor of this mansion with her Bed and Breakfast, and Cole on the top floor with this teens with no home, tensions fly! How can an arrangement like this actually work, and for a year at that?!? Ms. Hunter will have you on the edge of your seats as you involve yourself into this wonderful read! I love the tension, the competition, and the attraction between these two very determined young people! This is a book you don’t want to miss. If you haven’t read the first two books in this series, The Wishing Season is ok for a stand alone book. But if you have read the series so far, you will welcome the characters and friends from the first two books. I highly recommend this book for a good clean, and fun read!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

If you enjoy a good clean romantic book, then I highly recommend Dancing with Fireflies. Even though Jade saw Daniel as only a brother, his thoughts were different, and I enjoyed the twists and turns happening in this story to try and pull them together. These characters are so very good! As you follow these two characters, you will be drawn into the story with them, experiencing all of the tensions and difficulties as well. Denise Hunter is an awesome storyteller, and she weaves a wonderful story together with these characters and this wonderful family. There is just something about a family like this that surrounds me, and makes me one of their own, and I love it when this happens.

There is a lot that goes on in this story, but I don’t want to ruin it for you, so I will just say, grab a copy for yourself, and enjoy! And even though this is the second book in this series, I think it will read just find for a stand alone book! And you can always look up Barefoot Summer to read first if you would like

I highly recommend this book to anyone that like a story full of romance, love and family. You just can’t go wrong.

Smitten Book Club by Coble, Billerbeck, Hunter, Hunt, Plus win a Kindle Fire HDX and more

Smitten Book Club

by Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck,

Denise Hunter, Diann Hunt

Smitten Book ClubThe century-old Gentlewoman’s Guide to Love and Courtship is no ordinary book club choice. But for the little book club in Smitten, Vermont, it might be their best pick yet!

The thick, leathery tome Heather pulled out of the dusty cardboard box was definitely coming home with her. Not only was The Gentlewoman’s Guide to Love and Courtship an appealing curiosity by virtue of its title; it was also written by Smitten, Vermont native Pearl Chambers, a local gentlewoman from three generations back.

Little did Heather know the repercussions this little curiosity would have on her and her friends’ romantic exploits.

When Heather and her fellow book club members begin passing the book around, their respective interpretations are unleashed on their respective love lives . . . for better or for worse. Is it a mystery? An idealist fantasy? An intimation of Jane Austen? As romantic love finds its way to each woman, the Guide proves itself both surprisingly prescient and hilariously irrelevant.

What’s more, a handwritten inscription indicates that the arcane book might hold the only extant clues leading to buried gold—exactly what one of the members needs to keep her house. How could they not go treasure hunting?

In this remarkable collaborative novel, besties Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck, Denise Hunter, and Diann Hunt tackle the tale of the Gentlewoman’s Guide by writing for one book club member apiece. Smitten Book Club is a hopeful, hilarious story of friendship and healing, written by friends for friends.

Purchase a copy here.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Another collection of Smitten stories, and another great book by four really awesome writers! Smitten, Vermont is a romantic little town and from it comes four really awesome romantic, mysterious stories.

Heather finds an old romantic advice book written by a one time famous Vermont Resident at a yard sale. This book, The Gentlewoman’s Guide to Love and Courtship, had a note in it saying that there are clues to lost gold within its pages. As the ladies in this book, Heather, Abby, Lia and Molly find romance in their own lives, will they take advise from this old forgotten book?

The four Novella’s in this book;  Love by the Book.. by Colleen Coble, Shelved Under Romance.. by Kristin Billerbeck, A New Chapter.. by Diann Hunt, Happily Ever After.. by Denise Hunter, are just a really fantastic read! I thoroughly enjoyed following the romantic lives of each of these four ladies. I loved each character, and I really don’t have a favorite! They are all good, and I really want to encourage you to pick up a copy of Smitten Book Club, and also check out the first two books in this series as well!

Barefoot Summer

by Denise

Barefoot Summer

Madison’s heart has been closed for years. But one summer can change everything.

In the years since her twin brother’s drowning, Madison McKinley has struggled to put it behind her. Despite the support of her close-knit family and her gratifying job as a veterinarian in their riverside town, the loss still haunts her.

To find closure, Madison sets out to fulfill her brother’s dream of winning the town’s annual regatta. But first she has to learn to sail, and fast.

Beckett O’Reilly knows Madison is out of his league, but someone neglected to tell his heart. Now she needs his help—and he’ll give it, because he owes her far more than she’ll ever know.

Madison will do anything—even work with the infamous Beckett O’Reilly—to reach her goal. And as much as she’d like to deny it, the chemistry between them is electrifying. As summer wanes, her feelings for him grow and a fledgling faith takes root in her heart.

But Beckett harbors a secret that will test the limits of their new love. Can their romance survive summer’s challenges? And will achieving her brother’s dream give Madison the peace she desperately seeks?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Madison McKinley is trying to find peach with her past by fulling her brother’s dream. Madison lost her brother ten years ago, and she is determined to be the town’s youngest winner of the annual regatta. Which will be quite difficult since she is not only scared to death of water, she is just about as scared of the only person who can teach her to sail, in order to win the regatta.

I really enjoyed this wonderful story by Denise Hunter. I love the unique characters and they all played their part so well as the story comes together. I appreciate the way Ms. Hunter takes difficult situations weaves them into the lives of her characters, and helps them to face their problems head on with the help of the Lord. You will grow to love this wonderful cast of characters as you journey with them in this unique little town of Chapel Springs. Why not pick up a copy today for a few hours of an enjoyable, entertaining read.

The Trouble with Cowboys….

About the Book

Only one pair of boots—and the cowboy wearing them—can get Annie out of the mess she’s in.

Annie Wilkerson is Moose Creek’s premiere horse trainer and equine columnist for Montana Living. Money is tight as she tries to put her kid-sister through college and provide for her young nephew. When Annie’s column is cancelled, she’s given first shot at a new lovelorn column—and she can’t afford to turn it down. Only problem is . . . Annie’s never been in love.

Always resourceful, she reluctantly strikes a deal with the town’s smooth-talking ladies’ man Dylan Taylor: She’ll work with his ailing horse, Braveheart, if he’ll help her answer the reader letters.

Working closely with Dylan is harder than Annie imagined, and she quickly realizes she may have misjudged him. But her unwavering conviction that cowboys are nothing but trouble has kept her heart safe for years. And she can’t risk getting hurt now.

The more Annie tries to control things, the more they fall apart. Her feelings are spinning out of control, and her sister’s antics are making life increasingly more difficult. Annie knows she needs to turn the reins over to God, but surrender has never come easily.

When Dylan reveals his feelings for her, Annie doesn’t know what to trust—her head or her heart. The trouble with this cowboy is that he might just be exactly what she needs.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Denise Hunter writes another awesome intriguing story in this sadly last book of the series,  A Big Sky Romance. As Annie struggles to help her sister Sierra and her son, she has no interest in cowboys because of how they treated her mom. But then there is Dylan who finds himself interested and attracted to Annie, but realizes she seems to all but hate him, so he’s off limits.

I love the way Denise Hunter writes her stories, they just steal their way into your heart in a special unique way. And between the struggling sweet romance between Dylan and Annie, and the warm and loving setting of Moose Creek, and add in the wonderful characters we’ve met along the way, I found my self really wanting to go get in on the special warmness and fun of family and friends. With everything from characters to lifestyle in Moose Creek, Denise Hunter takes her readers on the journey of our dreams.

As you can tell, I love this book, as well as the first two in A Big Sky Romance. So I encourage you to grab a copy of The Trouble with Cowboys, but first pick up A Cowboy’s Touch, and Accidental Bride to read first. You will sure not be disappointed!

I rec’d this book from the publisher Thomas Nelson through Litfuse to read and review. I was not expected or required to write a positive review. The opinions here are mine alone!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Denise lives in Indiana with her husband Kevin and their three sons. In 1996, Denise began her first book, a Christian romance novel, writing while her children napped.

Two years later it was published, and she’s been writing ever since. Her books often contain a strong romantic element, and her husband Kevin says he provides all her

romantic material, but Denise insists a good imagination helps too!
