Early one morning, the gulls were still sleeping,

The Sergeant was out, and the girls’ tea was steeping,

When from the washroom came an animal’s howl:

Bess flung the door open, her rump in a towel,

“There’s a boil on my bottom and boy does it hurt!”

Marj warned, “If Pa finds out there will be no dessert!”

My Thoughts on This Book

This is the sweetest book, and I am sure going to check out the other books in this series. Little Millie loved to listen to their grandmother tell about tell of the many adventures she and her many sisters had while growing up.

This cute story is of an adventure on the water with row boats. The picture of the kids waking up to get ready is so cute, and so true of today’s kids. The format of the book is simple. On the two page spread, the story is written on the left of the page, with a cute adorable picture to go with the writing. There are pictures of the children on the water, their funny expressions as well as expressions of enjoyment. To me, I think this cover is so very adorable. Children will sure love the beautiful colors and this will be their first choice off the shelves. Your child will sure love this sweet fun story, and they will be able to look at these adorable pictures and make up many stories of their own. I highly recommend this cute little book to parent looking for more great books for your child’s library. I have an ebook copy, but I would love to see a print copy. I just may go buy one for me!
