MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
This is an absolute awesome read! A mother, three children, three different fathers, two daughters adopted, one son fighting for his life, and a desperate mother trying to find help. This is a most mixed up story with a most dysfunctional family. Two adopted daughters that are as different as night and day, yet so much alike. I really, really like these characters. Julia had a lot of spunk and was willing to pull all of the stops, meeting men she slept with two decades before, which had to be embarrassing, but she did it anyway. I admire Julia for what she went through to get her son the help he needed to stay alive. And I really liked Destiny and Chloe. The entire story was just amazing, and full of hope and betrayal, then love and acceptance, redemption and restoration. And it was all because of God and His working in their lives.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, since this is my first read by either of these authors, and I am definitely added both Shannon Ethridge and Kathryn Mackel to my favorite author’s list! If you enjoy fiction of any kind, you will love this book, with its phenomenal writing and a cast of characters that will capture your heart.
