MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Author Dana Mentink continues this series with another nail biting suspense thriller that will keep you reading until you find the answers. And this is just what Dory Winslow is trying to do. Find the answers to what really happened with the tragic boating accident years ago. Digging up secrets that someone definitely doesn’t want her to resurface.

I have read several books by this author, and really liked them all, and this one is no different. The characters do their job as they develop well as the story unfolds. Not that I really liked them all, but for the most part most of these characters will warm their way into your heart. And even though this is the 4th book in this series, I feel it can be read just fine as a stand alone. If you enjoy a good clean thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat for a while, this is the one you want!!

A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

Killer Harvest by: Tanya Stowe

Killer-Harvest-FB-Banner

About the Book

Book:  Killer Harvest

Author: Tanya Stowe

Genre:  Inspirational Romantic Suspense

Release Date: March, 2020

My Rating: 5Stars

Killer-Harvest-647x1024Can she stop a deadly crop virus from ending up in the wrong hands? Biologist and single mom Sassa Nilsson just witnessed her mentor’s brutal murder by environmental extremists. Now she’s the last link to a deadly pathogen they plan unleashing—and their number one target! But can handsome border patrol agent Jared De Luca shield Sassa and her baby long enough to find a cure…before the entire world faces the unthinkable consequences?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

When I first started reading this I felt I was reading the newspaper instead of a fiction book. Tanya Stowe. This story pulled me in from the beginning. Sassa knew something wasn’t right as soon as she got off the plane with her mentor Sam. And from there, the story takes off in a fast pace that will have you on the edge of your seats. Ms. Stowe created characters that were so well developed throughout the story, I started thinking of them as real people. And I really wanted to pray for Sassa so many times.

Both Jared and Sassa has a checkered past, and it was interesting to see the interaction between them. And especially since Sassa’s faith was so strong and Jared no longer trusted God. And I love the want the men were with baby Keri. Sam had called her Precious Keri, and Jared was adorable with her. Baby Keri has a special part of the story, which made it have a sweet side.

As with most suspense, there is so much more to this story. It way be a small book, but it is packed full of drama and suspense. If you enjoy this genre, I highly recommend this one for you to read. It will give you a few hours of total enjoyment.

More from Tanya

As a teenager, I spent my summers water-skiing on the King’s River in Central California. Even though we lived on the coast and the ocean, we traveled inland to the smooth river waters every other weekend for our sport. We camped on a sandy beach, skimmed over the water all day long and at night sat under a sky full of brilliant stars and listened to the sound of the water rippling past. Since we lived on the coast with a heavy marine layer, the amazing sky always fascinated me. Surrounded by massive cottonwood trees, with the smell of ripe fruit drifting toward us, my river experiences were different from home and more than memorable. On some nights we’d hear the splash and laughter as teenagers, somewhere across the river, came down to swim. I always wondered what it would be like to live in the nearby small, neat-as-a-pin town, to know the same people all of my life and to be able to drive down to the river with my friends on any given night. I envied those teenagers and always knew I’d someday write a story about central California. I didn’t know it would involve biological warfare and crazed killers…but that transition is another story all its own! I’ll stop here and hope you enjoy Killer Harvest!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Deadly Christmas Pretense is a very good romantic suspense that kept me on my toes. There’s a lot of characters, my favorite being Jingles the dog. Jingles made me laugh quite a bit. Sometimes it was a bit confusing for me, with the twins, and Maggie posing as her twin sister, and who the ex boyfriend belonged to, but as the story unfolds, it becomes more clear. Maggie is in a lot of trouble because of her sister, a rather annoying sister who clearly needs to settle down and stay out of trouble.

Overall this is an enjoyable read, so if you are looking for a good clean romantic suspense, this is a good one to check out. It will give you a few hours of enjoyment!

I just love Christmas, don’t you? In our area we have a lovely holiday train. It’s an old steam type train which is decked out in lights for festive holiday tours. I was so thrilled that this cover features just such a train. Of course, in the novel the train is the scene of hair raising danger! Maggie, our heroine in this novel, is a cook. She serves up some mouth watering dishes (when she’s not dodging a killer.) I thought perhaps you might enjoy a Mentink holiday family recipe! God bless you as we enter this holiday season!

Amish Convert Operation by Meghan Carver

Amish Convert Operation

by

Meghan Carver

Amish Covert Operation review tour

ABOUT THIS BOOK

She witnessed a crime

Can an agent in disguise keep her safe?

After Amish widow Katie Schwartz’s search for her reclusive brother results in a shooting and her finding a cryptic message, she must rely on federal agent Adam Troyer to shield her. But, undercover as a Plain man, can Adam save her brother’s life andprotect Katie? Trusting the handsome Englisch agent is already dangerous…but falling for him could risk everything Katie holds dear.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Being a widow with two daughters, Katie Schwartz is depending on her brother to help her. But when he didnt show up for several monthts, she was worried and went looking for him, but she found more than she was expecting. After being shot at, ICE agent Adam Troyer came to her rescue and pulled her to safety. Why an ICE agent in her neighborhood? Join the fun to find out in this Love Inspired suspense that will have you on the edge of your seats.

I enjoy Amish books and once in a while an Amish suspense comes along that makes the genre more interesting. I really enjoyed Amish Convert Operation, the suspense has the story moving at a fast pace and I didnt want to stop reading until I finished it. Even though there are a lot of differences between Katie and Adam, I really liked both characters. Katie was a strong women and dies her best taking care of her home and children after her husband’s death. And she has a strong faith in God, and it shows in her life. Adam’s grandparents were Amish, but his home life with his parents was anything but Amish.

As the two tried to solve a code given to them by Katie’s brother, and as they spent more time together, the attraction grew. The story is action packed and fast paced but the romance, not so fast, but it’s there and its nice. And the main thing I enjoyed about this book is the way the author weaved the Lord and faith into the story and into Katie’s life, making it clear that we can do nothing without the Lord. Our strength comes from Him.

If you enjoy Amish fiction, and especially of you like suspense, you will love this book. I encourage you to pick up a copy and read it for yourself! Holiday Amnesia by Lynette Eason

517EF45D-1AEB-4C81-B5CD-EF73FD94AACE.jpeg

With no memory, who can she trust?

A deadly Christmas in Wrangler’s Corner

Robin Hardy survived an explosion in her university lab – but her memories are gone. With danger lurking behind every Christmas tree, she needs shelter from the attackers she can’t identify. She’ll trust fellow professor Toby Potter to safely hide her away. But when his secrets come between them, the truth could mean the difference between life and death this holiday season.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Another wow book from Lynette Eason. And don’t let Love Inspired stop you from reading this. Sadly I’ve heard people that don’t read LI and they sure don’t know what they are missing! This is on of the best from Ms. Eason! I stayed most of the night reading Holiday Amnesia because I didn’t want to put it down until it was finished.

Robin Hardy survived a shooting and an explosion at the University lab she was working. But when the FBI guy working in the case involving her got to her, he heard a hit for her life, and to make things worse, she couldn’t remember the last 6 months of her life. Who wanted Robin dead and why?

This is such an amazing story full of thrills and lots of emotions of all kinds. Since Robin couldn’t remember, she wasn’t sure she could trust Toby, but she had no choice. Someone wanted he off the planet, and she had no where to go, no means of supporting herself. But everywhere they went to hideout, someone attacks, is it an inside job? Are there dirty law enforcements inside hunting Robin down?

One thing for sure, this story takes readers on a chase they will long remember. At some point I get impatient and think, why don’t you just get this person any way you can? I mean can’t they shoot their tires out or shoot them to hurt not kill when they are chasing on foot? But then I realize there wouldn’t be any fun reading a book that’s half the pages, and no fun in reading all of the chases and different ways the evil people work. So I realize I don’t know it all! And I love all it all!!

Another thing I love about Ms. Easons Books is the way she weaves the Christian life in the lives of her characters. I don’t always mention this, but it’s why I love Christian fiction so much! And an author that can do this and not sound preachy is a professional that does her job well!

This is a really good Christmas fiction to read! I highly recommend Holiday Amnesia! I received this book from Love Inspired Suspense and Nergalley to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal  Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

A KILLER’S CLOSING IN…

When her client and old college friend is murdered, P.I. Kat Justice knows the killer will come for her next. Her survival depends on finding her unknown enemy first…and working with homicide detective Mitch Elliot, her onetime crush.

It’ll take all her professional skills to ignore the sparks between them, but Kat can’t allow the handsome cop to get close. She’s seen too many people she loves die, so she vows just to do her job without getting emotionally involved. Yet keeping her distance may not be the best way to protect her heart—or their lives.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Kat Justice finds herself in a tough situation. Her friend is murdered and Kat needs to find the murderer because he is now after her, but who is her enemy and what does he have against Kat to want her dead? And to make matters worse, the detective on the case is an old crush of Kat’s, Mitch Elliot. Will her old crush come alive and sparks fly, or is Mitch still not interested?

I thoroughly enjoyed this intriguing inspirational suspense from Susan Sleeman. After reading the first page I was hooked and couldn’t put the book down. The characters were believable and realistic and played their parts so well as the story unfolds. And I love the way the Susan weaves the attraction and tension between Kat and Mitch together with protecting Kat and finding the killer, making the plot so intense and exciting you gotta keep reading! And I really appreciate the way the author interacts the faith of the characters in their every day lives in a unique way that doesn’t sounds pushy.

I highly recommend this wonderful suspense from one of my favorite authors, Susan Sleeman. You will not be disappointed! And if you are a Love Inspired Suspense fan, this is a must read for you!
