Tara RandelABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Tara Randel has enjoyed a lifelong love of books, especially romance and mystery genres, so it didn’t come as a surprise when she began writing with the dream of becoming published. After finding Romantic Times magazine in a bookstore many years ago, she found information about writing organizations. Soon after, she joined Romance Writers of America. She located the local RWA chapter and immediately attended her first meeting. There was no stopping her after that!

Through Tampa Area Romance Authors, Tara learned all about the business of publishing, starting with the craft of writing to behind the scenes of publishing. She served as contest coordinator for four years and served as President for one year, enjoying the organization and the lasting friendships made there.

When not writing, Tara owns a business with her husband and stays busy with her two daughters. She lives on the West Coast of Florida, where gorgeous sunsets inspire the creation of heartwarming stories, filled with love, laughter and the occasional mystery. Enjoy!

ABOUT THE BOOK

Molly Henderson and Ben Weaver have been rival magazine writers for the same publishing group for years. When both come up for the same promotion, they find themselves in an unexpected competition to win the spot. Molly, editor of Quilter’s Heart, and Ben, editor of Outdoor Adventures, must switch roles, each working for the other for one month, then submit an article at the end of their quests.

Can girly-girl Molly survive the outdoor adventures that Ben has planned? Can Ben navigate the perils of the social dynamics of quilting events without destroying a valuable quilt in one short month? More importantly, in this he-said, she-said situation, will Molly and Ben give in to their attraction and fall in love, no matter who wins?

The Reconciled Hearts Trilogy

by Doris Elaine Fell

the reconciled hearts

About this book

Plunge into three dramatic stories of romance and mystery, set in beautiful cities in charming Europe. An ocean lies between violinist Kerina Rudzinski in Vienna and American Ashley Reynolds, but their destiny is intertwined with secrets. When Sydney Barrington unexpectedly inherits a mansion in the Cotswolds, she’s pulled between the love of two men. . .and the mysteries concealed within Broadshire Manor. A twist of fate propels Professor Rachel McCully to return to the home of the man who captured her heart nearly a decade before. . .but mystery swirls around him and the mansion in England’s fabled Lake District.
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
The Reconciled Hearts started out kind of slow for me, but as I kept reading, it started getting more interesting. But a lot of the reading in each story was difficult to read because of the tense emotions and the seriousness of the situations. I think they reason I kept reading and what kept my interest is the vivid and really wonderful descriptions of the setting in England. The author did a really good job of making the reader experience the sights and sounds of the era. Beware though, this is three full length books in one, not three short stories, so it is a very large book and takes a pretty good while to read. I rather enjoy long books, but if you don’t care books with lots of pages, then this one isn’t for you. One thing about it though. You can read each story at a different time. Overall, I enjoy The Reconciled Hearts, and I look forward to reading more from this author.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Rival Hearts is the latest book in the Quilts of Love Series from Abingdon Press. The story in each of these books centers around a special quilt. This was such a fun and enjoyable read! Magazine writers Ben Weaver and Molly Henderson were up for the same promotion, and had to switch rolls for a month. The fun part was that Molly was editor of Quilter’s Heart and Ben editor of Outdoors Adventures, so this challenge was totally out of the box of each of these two writers. And I had a lot of fun reading about each learning how to do the other ones trade during that month! Molly had a lot of challenges with the activities that Ben had planned for that month. And Ben had quite the time with Molly’s feminine activities. But Ben did learn a lot around the quilting frames of this ladies group, but can he do his part of the quilt they are quilting? I have to say I enjoyed Ben’s quilting experience the most, because its just something about men trying to do feminine things! But all in all, this is a wonderful read. If you are looking for that relaxed, and enjoyable summer read, this is one that you will enjoy!

ABOUT THIS BOOK

A Mother’s Secret

Book two in the Hearts of the Lancaster Grand Hotel series.

Carolyn Lapp dreams of marrying for love. But will the errors of her past destroy this dream forever?

Carolyn Lapp longs to have a traditional Amish family. But she lives on her brother’s farm with her parents and her 15-year old son, Benjamin. Carolyn has never revealed the identity of Benjamin’s father and lives daily with the guilt and shame of her youthful indiscretion. Her brother simply will not forgive her.

His answer is to arrange a practical marriage for Carolyn to Saul, a widower with a little girl. But Carolyn isn’t convinced that Saul really loves her and believes he is simply looking for someone to help raise his daughter.

When Benjamin causes trouble at a local horse auction, horse breeder Joshua Glick decides that he must be taught a lesson. Carolyn and Joshua are unmistakably drawn to each other, but Joshua mistakenly assumes that Benjamin is Carolyn’s brother. Carolyn fears that if he discovers the truth, her past will destroy their budding romance.

After years of shame and loneliness, Carolyn suddenly has two men vying for her attention. But which of them will give her the family-and the unconditional love-she’s longed for?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Carolyn Lapp has never been married, but she longed to be married and loved as other Amish young ladies in her community. But Carolyn had a secret, and that secret was a teenage son that most thought was her brother, not her son. Carolyn’s brother decides that Carolyn needs to marry and find a father for her son, so he arranges for her to meet with a widower in the community, because this would be a perfect match for Carolyn. But Carolyn meets Joshua Glick, and well, they seem to have an attraction to each other, even though Joshua didn’t know her secret!

Wow, this is a twisted Amish story, a story that will capture your attention and keep it until you finish reading! I really like Carolyn, and she had a difficult life because of one mistake she made. To make it worse, her jerk of a brother never let her forget that mistake, even though she had been forgiven. I really had a problem with the older brother, because he wanted what was best for his reputation and the nerve of him telling the widower Carolyn’s secret to see if this guy was ‘ok’ with the secret! I am so glad Joshua Glick came into the picture. Both Joshua and Carolyn thought married life wasn’t for them, but sometimes love slips up on us! And I was sure routing for this couple. Amy Clipston does a fantastic job of weaving these touchy and sensitive situations together and writing a wonderful and sweet Amish story that will warm your heart. If you enjoy Amish stories, this one if a must!

CFBA Presents A Place in His Heart

This week, the

Christian Fiction Blog Alliance

is introducing

A Place in His Heart

Revell (June 3, 2014)

by

Rebecca DeMarino

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Rebecca DeMarino was born in Pensacola, Florida, the daughter of a Navy pilot. Her mother made a home for the family of six all over the map, including Virginia, Nevada, California, Washington, and Guam, before her parents put down anchor on a ranch in Oregon.

As the wife of a young Air Force officer, married life brought more travel. She relied on her mother’s example of how to make a home anywhere. Her three beautiful daughters were born in Florida, Alaska and Nebraska.

Retired after sixteen years with a major airline, she manages to fulfill her love of wanderlust with frequent family or research trips.

Rebecca grew up listening to her mother’s family lore of a great-grandfather from generations ago. Barnabas Horton sailed from England in the 1600’s, to Long Island, N.Y., on a ship called The Swallow. In 1999, after she found Horton Point, L.I., on a map, Rebecca and her mother made the journey to see the lighthouse named after their ancestor.

The legend goes that Barnabas brought a slab of blue slate with him from England, and had the epitaph he wrote himself engraved on it. The blue slate still exists in the Old Cemetery in Southold, L.I., with the Bible verse, “He being dead, still speaketh.” Much information was found about Barnabas, but none of his wife, save a mention in his will.

Her mother passed away in 2005, but Rebecca returned to Southold many times, drawn by her Puritan roots and English heritage. Each time she wondered about her ninth great-grandmother, a young woman who married a widower with two young boys and then followed them for the wilds of Long Island, leaving behind her home and family. What were her dreams? Her motivations? Her fears?

Rebecca’s historical romance novel, A PLACE IN HIS HEART, debuts with Revell, a division of Baker Publishing House, in June of 2014.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Anglican Mary Langton longs to marry for love. Puritan Barnabas Horton is still in love with his deceased wife and needs only a mother for his two young sons. And yet these two very different people with very different expectations will take a leap of faith, wed, and then embark on a life-changing journey across the ocean to the Colonies. Along the way, each must learn to live in harmony, to wait on God, and to recognize true love where they least expect to find it.

This heartfelt tale of love and devotion is based on debut author Rebecca DeMarino’s own ancestors, who came to Long Island in the mid-1600s to establish a life–and a legacy–in the New World.

MY THOUHTS ON THIS BOOK

Wow, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Captain Dean Watters and his team as they served in Afghanistan. I love the vivid amazing details Ms. Kendig gives  of the military scenes, the lives and personalities of each character made it all seem so real while I was reading Raptor 6. And I love the interaction of the characters that work so well together. I could just imagine in my mind they fellows as they played out their parts, wanting to help them out, and especially pray for them. And to weave in Zahrah and her help with the children was so touching and heartwarming! Zahrah was such an interesting and intriguing person. I hope we hear more from her in the coming books in this series. Weaving Zahrah, the missionary into the story with this team in Afghanistan was something that really grabbed my attention and kept it throughout the book.

Every book Ronie Kendig write just gets better and better. I loved her A Breed Apart series, and was surprise and pleased to see characters from that series would resurface in this series as well. I will patiently wait for the next book in this series, I just can’t wait to see what Ronie Kendig has for us in her future books!

Somebody Like You by Beth K. Vogt

Somebody Like You

by Beth K. Vogt

ABOUT THIS BOOK

Can a young widow find love again with her husband’s reflection?

Haley’s three-year marriage to Sam, an army medic, ends tragically when he’s killed in Afghanistan. Her attempts to create a new life for herself are ambushed when she arrives home one evening—and finds her husband waiting for her. Did the military make an unimaginable mistake when they told her Sam was killed?

Too late to make things right with his estranged twin brother, Stephen discovers Sam never told Haley about him. As Haley and Stephen navigate their fragile relationship, they are inexorably drawn to each other. How can they honor the memory of a man whose death brought them together—and whose ghost could drive them apart?

Somebody Like You is a beautifully rendered, affecting novel, reminding us that while we can’t change the past, we have the choice to change the future and start anew.
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

This is the most unique story, well to me anyway. Haley’s husband was killed in Afghanistan, before he found out Haley was pregnant with their first child. Haley lives her life doing what she had to in order to survive without Sam. But then when a strange guy shows up at her door, could the military have been wrong all along and Sam was really alive? But wait, he isn’t Sam, but he looks exactly like him, talks like him, but just exactly who it he?? Could Sam have a twin and not told her about him?

I am hooked on Beth Vogt books! Each one gets better and better! As the friction continues between this stranger and Haley, and circumstances brings them together more, tensions begin to calm a bit. I loved following Haley and Stephen’s story, with its ups and downs, and the many frustrating times they seem to be together. But I so wanted this couple to be together. I love the way Ms. Vogt weaves all of the difficult and heartbreaking memories, the emotional situations and these wonderful believable characters together and wrote one of the best stories I have read in a while! Through there was a lot of sadness and loss, there was also a lot of humor, fun and entertainment. I keep wanting to write more about the story, but I don’t like giving the plot away so you really need to read this wonderful book for yourself. If you enjoy a good, clean and fun read, you cant go wrong with Somebody Like You. And I am eagerly awaiting the next book from Beth K. Vogt!

I rec’d Somebody Like You from the author, Beth K. Vogt to read and review. I was not required or expected to write a positive review. The opinions here in this review are mine only.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Beth K. Vogt believes God’s best often waits behind the doors marked “Never.” A nonfiction writer and editor who said she’d never write fiction, Beth is now a novelist with Howard Books. The police are dubious of her story, but one off-duty FBI agent is eager to help her: Agent Marc Everton, the father of Elin’s daughter.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Elin Summerall was doing great from her heart transplant surgery, if she could just rid of the nightmares of a murder that has been keeping her awake at night. Could these nightmares be about the person who murdered the lady who died, resulting in Elin’s new heart?

Elin had her hands full with her mothers declining health, lack of sleep due to the nightmares,  people stalking her and FBI Agent Marc Everton, who happens to be Elin’s daughter’s father, who doesn’t know about his daughter. As usual, Colleen Coble and her awesome professional writing skills brings her fans and readers another nail biting suspense with a mixture of believable characters that will keep you awake at night because you have to see whodoneit! There is a lot going on between the pages of this book, but Ms. Coble does a fantastic job of weaving it all together and bringing Seagrass Pier to a really wonderful ending.

 A Place in His Heart

by Rebecca DeMarino

She could cross an ocean, but could she ever win his heart?

Anglican Mary Langton longs to marry for love. Left at the altar and disgraced in her small hamlet, she is being pressured to marry the eligible son of the London milliner. Puritan Barnabas Horton still grieves the loss of his beloved wife, but he knows his two young sons need a mother.

With tender hearts, Mary and Barnabas take a leap of faith and wed. But when Barnabas’s secret plans to move his family to the New World to escape persecution come to light, Mary’s world is upended. How could she possibly leave her papa and her dear sister?

And will she ever reach the secret places of her husband’s broken heart?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Mary and Barnabas’ story was a very interesting story that I really enjoyed! Mary was a strong woman, but I had to feel sorry for her because she always knew that Barnabas was still hanging on to his dead wife’s love and didn’t really love her, even when they married, and throughout their marriage. But Mary was still a good wife and mother to Barnabas’ two sons. These characters quickly capture my attention because the story was so intriguing, and entertaining, and the author does a wonderful job of keeping your attention! I loved the vivid descriptions of the scenes throughout the book. When I finished reading this book, I felt like I had met a new family to call my friends!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

An Englischer landing in the home of an Amish family because of circumstances beyond their control is always an enjoyable and interesting story. And that is just what Sally Bingham did. She had wanted to get away to sort the changes in her life, and to think about her marriage that was soon to be, an boy did she get that chance, just not in the way Sally had thought. Staying in the Zook family home, and meeting the handsome Armin King, which all of the Amish young ladies had their eye on, was sure to change Sally Bingham’s English life forever.

I really did love this heartwarming story, full of its mysterious situations that kept getting more mysterious as the story unfolded. As Sally spends more time with Lizzie, she is introduced to a new and different world. But something wasn’t quite right as the story goes on, because it seems someone has secrets that they are not willing to tell. And instead of getting better, it just seems to be getting worse and worse. Sally’s dad has secrets that he won’t tell her, and the Zook’s have secrets, and who can trust who in this Amish household and community. There is one thing about it, this is for sure not a boring Amish story. There are many twists and turns, most of them will take you off guard, and having you wondering what will happen next. I really like the mystery behind the story because it makes it much more exciting and interesting. And would Armin King leaving the Amish for Sally, or would she turn Amish if they stay together? And what happens to Sally’s fiancée, the one that she is suppose to marry? I love all of the questions, and they will all be answered when you read Kate Lloyd third book in The Legacy of Lancaster Trilogy. If you enjoy Amish fiction, you are sure to enjoy this one!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

This romance book contains five wonderful stories. The first two are by author Kimberley Comeaux. In One More Chance, and Courtin’ Patience, Rachel Branigan and Patience Primrose never expected to find love and marry, but when a preacher and a sheriff comes along, they both change their minds mighty quick. Both of these stories were fun and enjoyable, and I thoroughly enjoyed both Novella’s.

The next three stories are by Cathy Marie Hack.  These stories are prior books of Ms. Hack’s but I hadn’t read them, so I was happy for the chance. These three Novella’s are about three brothers that find love, in a unique way. You will have to read the book to get the full enjoyment of the stories. I love the comical side of Ms. Hack and the way she places these brothers in a quest finding their women. The stories are fun and enjoyable, and funny, with a lot of laughs. If you love historical and funny stories, this is one you need to read!

I love the fact that I can read one of these stories in one sitting! So if you don’t have time for a full blown book to read, this would be an awesome alterative for you. I highly recommend this book to anyone who just loves to read a good clean book!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Out of the Ruins is a really great book with the setting in San Francisco in 1905/1906 during the time of the earthquake. Abby Fischer’s sister was in the hospital fighting for her life, throwing Abby and Dr. Robert King together to find a cure for her sister. Spending so much time together, the two became attracted to each other, but when separated in the earthquake, survival because their most important task.

Though I’ve heard about this tragedy, this is the first book I’ve read with the setting before and during the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco. Reading Out of Ruins really gave me a feeling of what those people went through during that time. Author Karen Barnette does a fantastic job of so vividly describing the scenes throughout the book to help readers better understand the tragic events that took place.  As I read about Dr. King and Abby being separated during the earthquake, I couldn’t help but wonder how many people in real life went through the same situation. This was a most interesting read, and especially since it was centered around a real life tragic even in history.

You history buffs would definitely enjoy this read. I received this book from Litfuse to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

Revell Presents….A Woman of Fortune by Kellie Coates Gilbert

A Woman of Fortune

by Kellie Coates Gilbert

 a woman of fortune

You never know what you’re really made of until you lose everything.

Texas socialite Claire Massey is living the dream–designer clothes, luxury cars, stunning homes. But everything comes crashing down when her charming cattle broker husband is arrested for fraud. Suddenly she finds herself facing attorneys, a media frenzy, and a trail of broken hearts. Betrayed and humiliated, Claire must face incredible odds to save her family–and discover a life worth living.

Author Kellie Coates Gilbert delivers a story both poignant and emotionally gripping that celebrates the kind of fortune that lasts.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

This was a really interesting story! This Texas Massey family was beyond wealthy, and living the life that told of their wealth. Their three children never wanted for anything when it came to material possessions because they had it all. But just as Tuck Massey announces that he is giving his future son in law a whopping 2 million dollars to help in funding his campaign, Tuck was arrested and charged with swindling thousands of innocent victims out of billions of dollars, in the largest cattle scam in the country. But Tuck couldn’t be guilty of anything could he? At first his wife Claire didn’t think so, but then as truths begin to surface, this Massey family would face the most devastating heartbreak a family could ever face. Including loosing everything they had, big house, fancy cars, frills, and thrills, it was all gone. What would happen to them all now that life had been jerked out from under them?

I loved this story, I felt sorry for all of the victims that lost their money, but in this book author Kelly  Gilbert gives readers another side of the story, and that is the family that were victims because of their husband/dad’s actions. I had to grieve with this family as I read the story because they were just as innocent as the victims that lost their money. Little did they know that the leader of their family was taking them down a road of destruction. But that is not all to this powerful story. And since I don’t like giving away the plot, you need to read this awesome story for yourself!

I received this book from Revell Publishers to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

Kregel presents….Deeper Than Red: A Novel by Sue Duffy

Deeper Than Red:

A Novel by Sue Duffy

deeper than red

Twenty-year-old Tally Greyson isn’t consumed with her own education, social life, or career goals like most young women her age. Instead, she’s trying to save her mother from the grasp of a seductive cult. What Tally doesn’t realize is that in this community, there’s a far greater danger than any she can imagine–and she and her mother aren’t the only ones in its sights. There are plots brewing here that will threaten the fate of the world.

Concert pianist Liesl Bower has put her own dangerous past behind her, and in her Charleston family home, surrounded by those who love her, she’s preparing for a world concert tour with her dear friend, violinist Max Morozov. She thinks she’s safe; the man who tried to kill her is dead, his coconspirators have been rounded up, and no one knows she had anything to do with saving the world from a new revolution.

That is, until a world leader is assassinated on the other side of the globe, setting events into motion that could kill the U.S. president, destroy Washington–and take everything and everyone Liesl loves with it. A madman is at the controls now. Even with the backup of the CIA and the dubious protection of a former KGB agent, this time they may all be too late. The heart-pounding final book in the Red Returning trilogy, Deeper Than Red goes further into the world of espionage and action than ever before, delving into the very worst powers of darkness, and pitting them against the light of faith, love, and forgiveness.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Deeper Than Red deals with a lot of different situations, and when you start reading, it is very difficult to put down. I found the terrorism against the US, and all of the difficulties that came with it to be a very interesting and different story to read. There are a lot of twists and turns throughout Deeper Than Red, which I loved! By the time I thought I had one thing figured out there was another twist to the story that triggered by imagination! I have to admit that the scenes that took place at an occult spiritualist camp were a little different for me, because I just don’t like reading about stuff like that, but all in all, the author did a good job of describing it in a way that I could better understand! But truly the thing that I appreciated about the story was the way the author weaves together the need to trust God in the mist of our difficulties and struggles. If you enjoy a good suspenseful book to read, you will enjoy this one by Sue Duffy.

I received this book from Kregel Publishers to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

is introducing

Until I Found You

Bethany House Publishers (May 6, 2014)

by

Victoria BylinABOUT THE AUTHOR:
A word from the Author:

This may sound crazy, but I was driven to write romance by giant bugs and killer rabbits. I just couldn’t take it anymore. My husband and two sons would be camped in front of the television watching a movie about spiders the size of bowling balls, and I’d be wondering when the handsome scientist would get around to kissing the spunky woman with the bug spray. When it didn’t happen, I decided to write my own happy endings–without the giant bugs…

Known for her realistic, likable characters and vivid writing, Victoria Bylin writes both western and contemporary inspirational romance. Her books have finaled in the ACFW Carol Awards, the Rita Awards and RT Magazine’s Reviewers’ Choice Awards. She and her husband currently live in Lexington, Kentucky and have two grown sons.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Finding each other was only the beginning . . .

When Kate Darby swerves off a mountain road to avoid hitting a California condor, she ends up trapped in her car, teetering on the edge of a cliff. Terrified, she breathes a prayer that changes her life.

It’s Nick Sheridan who comes to Kate’s rescue. Nick is handsome and confident, and he seems to develop a habit of rescuing her, but Kate is in town only until her grandmother recuperates from a stroke. She’s not planning to get involved with one of the locals.

Nick is a reformed veteran of life in the fast lane, a new Christian, and a travel writer. When he sees a car dangling on the edge of a cliff, the daredevil in him jumps into action. He doesn’t expect to be swept off his feet by the car’s occupant. He’s made a vow–no dating for a year–but keeping that vow is going to be a lot more difficult now that he’s met Kate Darby. . . .

The Hatmaker's Heart

ABOUT THIS BOOK

For Nell Marchwold, bliss is seeing the transformation when someone gets a glimpse in the mirror while wearing one of her creations and feels beautiful. Nell has always strived to create hats that bring out a woman’s best qualities. She knows she’s fortunate to have landed a job as an apprentice designer at the prominent Oscar Fields Millinery in New York City. Yet when Nell’s fresh designs begin to catch on, her boss holds her back from the limelight, claiming the stammer she’s had since childhood reflects poorly on her and his salon.

But it seems Nell’s gift won’t be hidden by Oscar’s efforts. Soon an up-and-coming fashion designer is seeking her out as a partner of his 1922 collection. The publicity leads to an opportunity for Nell to make hats in London for a royal wedding. There, she sees her childhood friend, Quentin, and an unexpected spark kindles between them. But thanks to her success, Oscar is determined to keep her. As her heart tugs in two directions, Nell must decide what she is willing to sacrifice for her dream, and what her dream truly is.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

I really like Nell Marchwold and the hats she makes are adorable! Nell feels she is really going to shine as a hatmaking star under the supervision of Oscar Fields as she works at his Millinery in New York City! But as customers started to ask for Nell, enjoying her creations, Oscar had to make sure she knew what her place was in his company, and that was working under him, and her designs would be Oscar Fields designs.

I really didn’t like Oscar Fields, he was such a jerk and was out for the money! And Nell just needed to stand up for herself around him, but then she was afraid for her job. I did so much enjoy the hats Nell made, they were such detailed, and it was interesting to find out where she got the different designs and ideas that she had. Someone with her skills and talents was sure to prosper during those historical times when the fancy hats were made to match the fancy gowns of the rich and famous. But it is sad that money always gets in the way. I always want to figure out why the title of a book is what it is, and in The Hatmaker’s Heart I found the reason so very heartwarming, and it made me admire Nell even more! And you will just have to read the book, so hopefully no one will give it away in a review! I so hate spoilers, so you will not get one from me!

the british brides collection

by Bonnie Blythe, Pamela Griffin, Kelly Eileen Hake, Gail Gaymer Martin, Tamela Hancock Murray, Jill Stengl

Explore English gardens, London ballrooms, and Scottish castles as nine brides-to-be experience all the legendary drama and epic romance that British literature is known for. Each of the nine short stories will sweep you away to a different era of time spanning over 500 years of history in the British Isles. Penned by an exclusive selection of Christian fiction authors including Kelly Eileen Hake, this collection will become a cherished favorite for fans of faith-based romance.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

I love these Brides Collections from Barbour Publishing. There are nine stories in The British Brides Collection, from six different authors. Six of the stories were set in England in the 1600 and 1800’s and three of the stories were set in Scotland in 1358, 1748 and 1822.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Scottish stories, they were full of joy and entertainment. Authors Bonnie Blythe, Pamela Griffin, Kelly Eileen Hake, Gail Gaymer Martin, Tamela Hancock Murray, Jill Stengl did a wonderful job of writing these short stories. And I know short stories are different, and it seems like just as you get going on them they are over, but I love reading them. I love the fact that they only take a few hours each, and you can read them in one setting.

If you don’t have the time to read full size books, and if you enjoy romances, you will love these stories set in Scotland. And all of these ladies are awesome authors. Some of these authors were new to me, and others I’ve read many of their books, but all in all, I really enjoyed reading all of their stories in this book! I highly recommend British Brides Collection for you to read.
