The magic of Christmas
Could make her wish come true!

A small-town Christmas wedding. What could be more romantic? Unless you’re a plus-one for hire like single mom Maia MacKenzie. Too bad handsome cowboy Brent Hayes is her new coworker—and completely off-limits! Neither of them can afford to lose their job…or invest in a relationship. But when she sees Brent’s adorable connection with her young son, Maia can’t help wishing for a Christmas miracle.

I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet clean romance by Cathy McDavid. I have to admit I’ve never heard of a business like Your Perfect Plus One,
where you can hire dates for weddings. But it seems to be the thing in A Secret Christmas Wish. Apparently the pay is not bad either. This is how Maia and Brent met. At a wedding where each were hired to go as someone’s date. Little did Maia know that her dad has hired Brent to work at her family’s Mountainside Stables. There was sure enough attraction there but they were off limits because they both signed a contract with Maia’s sister Darla that they would not date anyone employed at Your Perfect Plus One.
Having left the rodeo circuit and roaming around for two years, Brent didn’t feel he would every be good enough for Maia, despite their attraction. Especially with his deep depression episodes he was having. But Maia thought different. Especially after the way Brent was with her son TJ. This story was fun and interesting to read because of the insecurities of Brent and the doubts Maia’s dad and sister have about Brent. I seem to have the tendicity to go for the guys like Brent, so I liked him from the start, and I admired him throughout the story for his progress at helping himself. I loves his interaction with TJ and the way TJ loved Brent. There was a lot going on in this story, yet at the same time there is a lot of reputation, especially with all of the wedding scenes. The characters are well create and I enjoyed their growth in the story, especially TJ, he was precious.  The storyline was well written and developed well as the story unfolds. This is a sweet story you can read during the Christmas season, or like me you can get a head start on Christmas and read it now! You will love it. I am giving The Secret Christmas Wish four stars.
