Tour and Giveaway for The Tiger Like Me by Kelsey Lee

GENRE: Children’s

The Tiger Like Me is the story of a brave young girl who dares to be different. Following the call of her adventurous spirit, she encounters inspiring creatures of the jungle who remind her to face her fears, recognize the beauty of the present moment, and to walk the path less traveled.

Day by day we use our voice, not only for noise but for speaking our choice.

Night by night, we move through fear; we know this is how to pioneer. Beyond our worry, the way shines clear, and the thoughts that limit us, soon disappear.

We are all diverse, yet one and the same. No matter the challenge, break the chain. Shine like a star to be who you are.

Raise your voice with vigour, to see your potential grow bigger. This is your gift, so be as you are. If you forget your way, then look to the stars.30

In the darkness of night, shoot for the moon. Always remember, the light returns soon.

I love this cute book. Abhi is different than other girls, even her many sisters. While her sisters sit around the house doing nothing but playing games and boring stuff, Abhi would rather be out on an adventurous trail trying to find interesting and fun things to do. One day Anhi’s sisters dared her to go into the jungle, deep into the trees and not to come out until they told her too, or she would be weak. So off Abhi goes deep deep into the jingle where she meets all of the jungle animals. The Tiger was her best friend because he talked and wasn’t scary. She also met other animals that didnt scare her.

I like Abhi and though I wouldn’t be as brave as she was, I sure did enjoy going on the jungle journey with her. This is such a special book to teach children to tackle their fears head on. It also teaches children that it is ok to be different. Just because everyone wants to do different things, it ok for each child to be him/her. Be just like you are. Don’t change because someone else wants you too. This is what to remember as children. This cute book needs to be in every classroom and every elementary school library because all children need to hear this. And they will all love the sweet pictures

A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.
