by Kim Vogel Sawyer

Echoes of Mercy ABOUT THIS BOOKSometimes a secret must be kept for the truth to be revealed.

When a suspicious accident occurs at the famous Dinsmore Chocolate Factory in Sinclair, Kansas, Caroline Lang goes undercover as a factory worker to investigate the circumstances surrounding the event and how the factory treats its youngest employees—the child workers. Posing as a common worker known as “Ollie Moore,” he aims to find out all he can about the family business before he takes over for his father. Caroline and Oliver become fast friends, but tension mounts when the two find themselves at odds about the roles of child workers. Hiding their identities becomes even more difficult when fate brings them together over three children in desperate need. When all is revealed, will the truth destroy the love starting to grow between them? – See more at: http://waterbrookmultnomah.com/catalog.php?work=221540#sthash.u5LxZlRY.dpuf

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Caroline Lang and Oliver Dinsmore are both working undercover at the famous Dinsmore Chocolate Factory in Sinclair, Kansas, but for different reasons. Oliver for family reasons, and Caroline for the Labor Commission to find out all information she can about the company hiring underage children as their employees.

This was a really interesting book dealing with the difficult situation of child labor. Of course it was different in the 1800’s but still an enlightening book and one I enjoyed very much! Of course anything from Kim Vogel Sawyer is just plain fantastic in my book! I love, love all of her books! And am happy to add this one to my collection. I thought the characters in Echoes of Mercy were solid and I really like Caroline! I like her determination and spunk, and the tensions were flying high as this story unfolds. Ms. Sawyer does an extremely awesome job of giving her readers a compelling suspenseful story with enough interesting excitement, sweet romance, and a determined passion to accurately do the job these wonderful characters are placed in the chocolate factory to do!

I promise you, this is one you want to put on your reading list! You will not be disappointed with this choice!  I received this book from the publisher Waterbrook Multnomah through their Blogging for Books probram to read and review.  I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.
