Poison Town

Book Summary
In this breathtaking follow-up to
Fear Has a Name
, investigative reporter Jack Crittendon learns his long-time friend and mechanic has fallen suspiciously ill. The man’s likeable sons and neighbors blame a mega-manufacturing plant on the poor side of Trenton City, Ohio, for the sickness and death ravaging their loved ones.  When Jack investigates, he becomes engulfed in a smokescreen of lies, setups, greed, and scandal. The deeper he digs, without his editor’s permission, the more toxic the corruption he uncovers. As Jack meets the big-time players behind the scenes and tries to beat the clock before more people die, he realizes the chillingly unthinkable—he knows too much.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
Wow, this book will make your head spin! Creston Mapes is one awesome author! There is so much going through my mind right now about this book I don’t know where to start. Jack Crittendon is a top notch investigative newspaper reporter and he will dig for the truth, and report it, no matter what. That is until his boss starts backing away from Crittendon’s stories he is on to. There has to be a reason so many people are getting sick in the small community of hard working people, but it seems no one wants to talk. But Crittendon is determined to find out the truth. But this puts his family and those around him in danger. The big question is, who will win? Crittendon or this huge manufacturing company that is clearly causing chemicals to leak out among this low income community?
If you enjoy a really good suspense/thriller, you Need to read this book! You will not be disappointed in Poison Town, this second book from Creston Mapes in The Crittendon Files series. This can be read as a stand alone book because it is about a different story Jack is investigating, but it is nice to read the first book, Fear Has a Name to get to know the people a little better. Both books are awesome and I strongly encourage you to pick up a copy for your reading enjoyment.
I received this book from the publisher David C. Cook  to read and review.  I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.
