MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

If you enjoy Amish fiction, you will sure enjoy Tricia Goyer’s new book The Memory Jar. I really like the Memory Jar idea for best friends Patty and Sarah. It is a good way to store memories, and in Sarah’s case it is especially special after Sarah is left to go through life alone. Then Sarah meets Jathan, and things started changing in her life.

Tricia Goyer creates wonderful realistic character that we grow to love as the story unfolds and the characters develop so well. The story started a little slow for me, but then as it developed, and the story took a different twist, tensions rise, gossip spreads, people started backing off and acting strange, and Sarah started questioning her earlier decisions. It seems like Jathan has more baggage to take care of than either of them thought. But Tricia Goyer weaves the characters, situations, difficulties, doubts and people along with more twists and turn and brings a story that will keep you reading until the last page, while it warms you heart in a special way. You will love this Amish community and its people when you pick up your copy of The Memory Jar.
