About the Book
For many people the idea that God likes us as individuals, just as we are, is often an unfamiliar concept, while rejection–by a partner, one’s parents, an employer, or friends–is a fact of life.
This book encourages readers to embrace the truth of a personal God with whom we do not need to struggle to gain recognition, a God who intervenes and acts on our behalf, a God who knows our names!
Each of the six chapters contains two stories dealing with situations of rejection. The first story concerns an individual from the Bible, explaining how God stepped in to change his or her situation, thus revealing how important the individual was to him.
The second, connecting story tells of a present day individual in similar circumstances and how God again positively intervened. These are true stories, using carefully researched material for authenticity and accuracy, and told with remarkable power and conviction.
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
Are you feeling lost and lonely, thinking no one care about you? In Catherine Campbell’s book “God Knows Your Name,” you will find out that you are never alone, that God is always with you, no matter what. Even in those times that it feels like no one is anywhere around, God is there with you, helping you though the difficult times.
This is one of those books that give you a boost after you read it. It is uplifting, interesting, encouraging, giving you hope where there is none. In the six chapters, Nameless, Hopeless, Worthless, Helpless, Powerless and Loveless, the author gives the reader stories that will keep you reading, because you want to here how they ended, and the encouragement these stories give.
Catherine Campbell is a wonderful author and storyteller, giving her readers encouragement that we can have the hope that God Knows Our Name, and He is with us, no matter the difficulty we go through. He never leaves us or forsakes us. I highly encourage you to read this book for yourself. And if you are living a lonely, discouraged and hopeless life, this book is a great book for you to read to realize that God loves you and wants to help you.
